About this blog

I'm a resource guy. That means instead of having the same conversation dozens of times with people, I just point the to a resource to get the information from. This GIVES me time to be more productive, and it weeds out the people that just want to argue or waste time.

Companies do similar things with training courses & "How to" manuals for the same purpose.

My intention for this blog is to show a reference and give some of my thought on it. In general, they will be solutions or "why I think the way I do" on a given subject.

If you or your unit do things differently, to be blunt, I don't care. If you have a setup for a different mission, cool. If you want to ignore facts and best practices because you have personal preferences, keep comm silence and move on.

I will also be posting reviews of sorts on Things I am trying out and refining.

My Gear, Part 1

MY GEAR, PART 1   I’d like to preface this by saying; you should always be fine tuning your gear, as such, it changes time to time (and gear is not a substitute for skills).   more on that here - https://www.mymilitia.com/blogs/blog/10-wquons-input/   This is what I started out with (with kit and ballistic “diaper”), because it was mandatory.       Sometimes, even if you don't know where you’re going at the moment, you can narrow your choic

Weapons – Brand, Build, & Mission

Before getting lost in all the bells and whistles that are ARs, find what its purpose will be first.   I dip a little into this in another blog - https://www.mymilitia.com/blogs/entry/36-mission-purpose-asking-questions/         AR Rifles;   brands for complete buys and builds - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mX85uQHrLNo&t=1s     rifle set up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84KBHdpKB1c&t=7s     most important rifl

Homesteads and Bug Out Location (BOL)

I’ve already covered food and water here - https://www.mymilitia.com/blogs/entry/289-food-storage-and-preparedness/     and talked a bit about how to move it here - https://www.mymilitia.com/blogs/entry/37-bovs-logistic-movment-seting-up/     but what about the location itself? This could be where you are at currently, or where you will be going (BOL). I believe in finding ways to do things that take the least amount of effort, or are the most efficient

Food Storage and Preparedness

In a previous blog I talked about the importance of having food/water with the ability to move it. https://www.mymilitia.com/blogs/entry/37-bovs-logistic-movment-seting-up/   I have been in the preparedness space for many years now, and there is always more to learn. There has always been an issue with consistent good information from a single source, and other issues with what works theoretically vs in practice. Keep that in mind as I share.   Wendy Dewitt came to my attenti

Geopolitical Headings

This is why; I'm not worried about American economics for the next few decades. I'm not worried about China being around for another 5-10 years. I'm not worried about America's trade dependencies. I'm concerned about "green energy" push in much of the world (because it's a waste). Age demographics matter, and America needs to produce more kids.
