(Get there early to park)\n\n\n\n W hy a Weekday?\n\n 1) So the legislators and the Govenor sees us. This is w hy a big numbers are needed.\n\n 2) So we can go inside and talk to our re presentatives or at least show up in their offices and leave a message.\n\ n\n\n Where:\n\n State Capitol in Santa Fe 490 Old Santa Fe Trail\, Santa Fe\, NM 87501\n\n\n\n Can I Open Carry in the roundhouse?\n\n\n\n I just c alled the roundhouse and security said NO long guns inside\, HOWEVER I’v e been told a different story by someone I trust.\n\n I will have an offic ial answer here shortly about open carry of long guns inside the round hou se.\n\n Stand by\n\n\n\n Parking:\n\n Parking is challenging at the State Capitol.\n\n\n\n There is a Capitol Parking Lot just to the east of the ro undhouse on Old Santa Fe Trail\, but it hit or miss for parking. It is a 4 -minute walk to the roundhouse.\n\n\n\n The State Capital Parking Building at 485 Galisteo St\, Santa Fe\, NM 87501\, and it is a 7-minute walk to t he roundhouse.\n\n\n\n Public parking is available at the Sandoval Municip al Garage 216 West San Francisco Street (across the street from The Lensic ). It is a 12-minute walk from the Capitol.\n\n Additional metered parking is available throughout the downtown area.\n\n (Scroll to the bottom for maps of the parking areas)\n\n\n\n Transportation:\n\n There are busses an d the RailRunner train that will take you to the capital\, HOWEVER – no weapons allowed open or concealed.\n\n Carpooling with others is a great s uggestion\, especially if you have issues walking. You can be dropped off right in front of the roundhouse.\n\n\n\n Weather:\n\n It’s New Mexico i n January\, so it could be snowing\, hailing\, windy\, cold\, raining\, cl oudy\, sunny\, warmish\, or all of the above. Dress in layers.\n\n\n\n Goa l:\n\n Peaceful assembly of gun owners who are TIRED of the New Mexico Rep resentatives and the Governor taking our gun rights away. If you are looki ng for trouble or a physical fight\, this is not the rally for you. Let’ s be the shining example of good behavior! This rally is open to ALL lover s of the Second Amendment\, political affiliation does not matter here.\n\ n\n\n Plan:\n\n Assemble on the east side of the State Capitol Building. P lease give your self plenty of time for parking and walking. Around 11:00 am we will start the rally. After\, we will do a walk around the roundhous e to make sure we are seen from all angles. Then we will go inside (rememb er\, no open carry in the building)\, and you are welcome to go to the Gov ernor’s office to deliver some petitions with Pro-Gun Women\, or you can find your Representatives office and encourage them to protect the Second Amendment. We will also go to the top ten anti-gun reps and tell them to vote no on gun bills. Remember\, be calm and respectful. We are gun owners \, not violent left-wing fanatics\n\n\n\n What to Bring:\n\n Flags\n\n Sig ns\n\n Water\n\n\n\n Precautions:\n\n We do not anticipate any trouble fro m anyone\; however\, always be aware of your surroundings walking to and f rom the rally. Walk together in groups to and from the event\, if possible .
