A South Florida club promoter is lucky he had means to defend himself against two armed robbers Friday morning.

The 29-year-old Pembroke Pines man says he arrived home in his Porsche around 6AM as usual when a men approached him in the parking lot. He demanded all his money and valuables, but the man, who works as a club promoter, pulled his his concealed carry weapon and shot three rounds at his robber.

“The victim, who has a concealed weapons permit, pulled a firearm from his waistband and discharged three times,” said Captain Al Xiques of Pembroke Pines Police.

The man says that’s when another robber jumped him and wrestled him to the ground. The two robbers then attacked their 29-year-old victim and took what they could before fleeing the scene.

NBC6 South Florida reported:

The thieves managed to steal the victim’s jewelry, cellphone and his gun. They then ran through a nearby breezeway and disappeared.

The suspects are described as two black males, one light skinned and one dark skinned.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.

Police did find blood at the scene and in checking area hospitals, have found a man with a gunshot wound that may be one of the robbers. Investigators think the two robbers may have been aware of their victim’s routine and were waiting for him in the parking lot of his home in the Palms of Pembroke Apartments when he pulled in.

The victim sustained minor cuts and bruises but did not need to be taken to the hospital.
