I totally agree with this. I've been in management positions most my adult life, and learned early on people follow a leader who's confident based on experience and accomplishment not bravado because of position. Leaders lead more than direct unless it's a direct order that needs to be carried out and there's no room for discussion. Leaders know when this tactic is called for which is the difference between leaders and football coaches.
