What's in your range toolbox?

Recommended Posts

Everyone has a range kit or armorers tool box for weapons maintenance. I'm talking the kind that you carry around with you in a non-tactical environment or have in your private work area. What's in your kit? Anything special or items you found extra helpful? I like to keep a can of sprayable Rem Oil, CLP, and WD40 Specialist, a couple varieties of copper cleaners, an Outers driver kit, several regular screwdrivers bent and ground into certain shapes, an old toothbrush, three different rod kits with a wide variety of brushes and jigs, boresnakes for Nato calibered weapons, a deadblow hammer and a special pin punch set for firearms, a pair of small pliers, Q-tips, small roll of toilet paper, rags, and a towel for disassembling the weapon on.

I've got pretty much the same as Hatchet with some additions: I have a couple of snap cap dummy rounds of the most common calibers (x39, 5.56, etc.) to help diagnose cycling problems along with a set of dental picks, ruptured case extractors, a set of blade gauges (for the roller lockers) and some files for when guys show up with new AK mags..LOL.
