District 3 gulf coast florida looking for active training group

Is there nothing in Florida operational and functioning? With the way things are going I find that hard to believe. I am in the Tampa area Pasco County and have many friends and family looking to join a Florida Militia that is training and meeting and actually forming plans of action etc. Ex military led and trained. NO REDNECK HILLBILLY crap. we are serious. Thanks.

South West Florida here, 40+ years in communications both wireline and wireless, BellSouth Telecommunications and later AT&T core network and later wireless.

 

I have extensive experience with LMR ranging from Low Band 35Mhz to 50MHz, VHF 150MHz to 174MHz and UHF 450MHz to 512Mhz.

 

Been granted by the FCC a Florida statewide UHF Private Carrier license, on 451.800 MHZ, 451.8125 MHz, 456.800 MHz.

 

I also have extensive experience with all types of Motorola transceivers, handhelds, base stations and mobiles, I have the skills needed to design a radio system from base to antenna, have designed and built two van based mobile communications systems and one trailer based system. 

 

One of the vans I own and the other was built for a radio station in South Florida.

You are in Broward, you have my sympathies, I grew up in Broward and moved out four years ago. At one time it was a very nice place to live but in the past decade has turned into another Democrat run s-hole. Do you know most people in Broward have been in the U.S. less than five years. 

 

And lets not even get into the cost of housing, I had a tiny 3 bed 2 bath maybe 1250 SF home on a postage stamp sized lot that I sold for $250K, moved out to Clewiston and bought a 4 bed 2 bath 2200 Sf home on 2.5 acres for $90K, the seller wanted $110K but I had cash and they needed to sell to move to Ft Myers so the husband could be closer to the VA clinic for his cancer treatments.

 

I feel sorry for the family, moving to Ft Myers had to cost them a ton of money, and the old man died six months later, had they stayed here they would have saved a ton of money and had a much lower cost of living, not to mention some of the cleanest air in Florida.

The problem with Florida is there leadership suks. Tiny groups mostly. Number one thing they talk about is Ham radio this, ham radio that. Your better off finding a  small group of people and doing things with them.  I have been in group after group after group, and one of the issues were that young men who did a  year or 2 in Iraq think they know it all; wants to be leader of the group or they don't stay with the group. Florida Militia is the worst of the bunch.     And if people are BUTT HURT for the truth, "read my lips" too bad. And finally, in 20 years living in Florida, I have not found one group I was in last longer then 8 months before all hell is loose.
