See how one Woman’s Upgrade in Boyfriends Saved her Life

Recommended Posts

Every woman tries to make better choices in selecting her next partner after a breakup.

Fortunately for one woman in California, she not only upgraded, she got to see the effects of making better choices first hand earlier this week when her ex-boyfriend attacked her with a knife.

Shortly before 5:30PM Tuesday, officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 600 block of South Berendo Street where they found a man dead from a gunshot wound and a woman who had been stabbed, Los Angeles police Officer Tony Im said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the woman and her ex- boyfriend were involved in a dispute, and the man stabbed her, LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado said.

The woman’s current boyfriend was nearby… and armed. He drew his weapon and shot the man, Preciado said. The gunman was questioned, but not arrested.

The woman was hospitalized and expected to recover from her injuries, said Sgt. Kevin Gruner of the LAPD’s Olympic Division. The man’s name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

Perhaps the director of the Cosmopolitan video “Gun Talk” should feature this couple in their next production. I’m pretty sure their dialogue would be much different than the rhetoric-spewing couples they featured.
