Welcome! Protecting your own these days seems to happen more often during local riots. The tactics for surviving a widespread SHTF scenario are different from being able to handle a riot with 300 crackheads armed with bricks. I think most people could handle a situation involving a dozen unfriendlies, but few of us would be truly prepared for a horde of that size. Best option might be a good pair of track shoes. :)
