picking mine up tomarrow after much research,

going to build a1000 yard gun for less than $1000

No details??? There are quite a few choices out there on the starting chassis.

I picked up a very accurate savage 10 precision carbine in 308 a month ago for some medium distance training. Have yet to get a scope on it.

Here is my haul from yesterday...

Start with the Pmags GET THEM ALL GET ALL YOU CAN, i got 4 30 rounders and 1 40 rounder, 2 boxes of 6.5 creedmoor ammo

I've been researching and studying long range shooting, and i wanted to build a sniper for less than $1000

I chose the Ruger American Predator 6.5 creedmoor ,

put on a Vortex 4-16x42 Diamondback H2 with the lowest leopold rings they make

scope clears barrel by 1/16th its as close to bore as possible

1' group at 1000 yards ? its been done.

gun $409 sub MOA rifle out of the box

scope $329 highest end diamondback before $500 vipers

rings $70 only leopold had rings/bases this low rise

All i need now is a bipod and muzzle break

Wonder if there will be a massive shortage as Californians order them now before next July 1, and then stash them away?
