Glock Gen5 Pistols Are Here, Finger Grooves Are Gone

Recommended Posts

The wait is over: the new Glock Gen5 pistols are here.

Based on the “M” pistol used by the FBI, the new and Glock 17 and Glock 19 Gen5 pistols sport more than 20 design changes from the Gen4 versions, with the following five being the biggest: The Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB), which utilizes a new barrel rifling to boost accuracy; the removal of finger grooves; an added ambidextrous slide stop for improved control and flexibility; black nDLC finish that is touted as being tougher and more durable; and the introduction of a flared mag well.

“The development of our Gen5 pistols was the result of the constant pursuit of perfection and a desire to meet the requests of the consumer market,” Glock VP Josh Dorsey said in a statement. “We have combined the standards of high-level performance and reliability with distinctive design enhancements to improve durability, accuracy, and performance. The benefits enhance the shooter experience at the range and in high-stress situations where fractions of a second matter.”

No word yet on the MSRP. In the meantime, check out specs and a couple of videos on these new Glock Gen5 pistols below. For more information, please visit Gen5.Glock.us.

Who we are

We are a community of concerned patriots who are not overly confident in the current direction of our society, from the wild political climate to what can be summed up as a lack of morals or a complete void of integrity and pretty much a blatant disregard of respect..... Respect for our past, respect for our future and respect for each other. In order to protect our constitution and life as we know it, we decided to not be the silent majority anymore and pull our selves up by the bootstraps and make the world a better place. This website is to unite people like us, people who want to make a difference ... and do it the right way, Little did we know that in doing so we would create the number one militia community online. Here we are. Enjoy.
