8 Patriot Ordnance Rifles Ready for Any Mission or Need

Recommended Posts

While the Revolution is the most current offering from Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA), the company has an extensive line of rifles built for specific tasks at hand. Of course, while they’re all individual models, a familiar theme runs through the product line, with features like NP3 finishes, POF-USA’s E2 dual extraction technology and oversized triple-port muzzle brakes.

Been looking into a POF edge or revolution. (308) I have read nothing but good things about them over the years. I really enjoy a piston driven rifle, and the e2 extraction "technology" seems to be a nifty selling point. Essentially they carve in 4 grooves into the chamber which in turn allows some of the gas to push back and aid in extraction of the spent casing. This will aid in extraction, less wear and tear on the extractor itself, and hopefully lessen the odds of a stuck casing. They are not cheap by any means, but in the gun world, for the most part, you get what you pay for. Sure, you can always hit the point of diminishing returns, but 2500-3000 is usually that edge before you are truly forking over federal reserve notes for smaller returns.

I can already hear it now. So before the belly aching begins, nothing wrong with a ptr 91, m1a, or even a dpms oracle, but lets not kid ourselves, there is superior improvement over most aspects of a 2500.00 battle rifle over an Oracle. The most important issue here is 1. is that rifle reliable, 2. are you reliable with that rifle. If the answer is yes to both, who cares !
