Ya' no Shit!  I'm sick of it.  We've been paying for "entertainment" for sunshine "patriots" for over 8 years and We ARE DONE!
Worse than the guy who shows up at the range with no ammo of his own!

great topic...I associate patriot groups as a more political side of the militia spectrum like a right or left wing militia...and someone like me a constitutional militia and don't pick a side other then right and wrong...if that makes any sense.

Absolutely makes sense.  Which, for me at least, makes it a somewhat complicated topic.  As many of you no doubt have experienced, the leadership and "personality" of militia units has a lot to do with how they are perceived.  Seems to me, and I've heard others say, that many units are political in nature as Rip said above: run by somebody on an ego trip: or a beer drinking social club.  Other groups seem like they can't wait to mix it up with the government: from a firepower standpoint, that's just nuts.  Being a Constitutionalist, I believe our duty is basically the same as our armed forces: namely the security of The United States (county or town if we narrow it down).  Personalities and politics are, in my opinion, stumbling blocks to those ideals... which makes finding a "reliable" unit very difficult.

Here's something that just occurred to me.  Somebody above said that whether or not your group calls itself a militia, it is.  I think there really are differences between let's say, a neighborhood watch group that mobilizes for example to fight a flood, and a militia unit that does the same.  Here's why I think that.  The MILITIA unit is, at it's core, a military formation; formed with the idea of using force if ordered to do so.  To that end, they should have a formal command structure (to be held responsible for it's conduct), be familiar with military/guerilla tactics, have and be willing to use force to accomplish their mission.  So, in my mind, not every mutual assistance group, or MAG, is or should be considered a militia unit, if their primary purpose is not military.  A Sheriff's posse isn't, the Home Owner's association isn't, the Rod and Gun club isn't.  To think otherwise is to paint with a very broad brush.

Who we are

We are a community of concerned patriots who are not overly confident in the current direction of our society, from the wild political climate to what can be summed up as a lack of morals or a complete void of integrity and pretty much a blatant disregard of respect..... Respect for our past, respect for our future and respect for each other. In order to protect our constitution and life as we know it, we decided to not be the silent majority anymore and pull our selves up by the bootstraps and make the world a better place. This website is to unite people like us, people who want to make a difference ... and do it the right way, Little did we know that in doing so we would create the number one militia community online. Here we are. Enjoy.
