Bill Prohibiting Sale of Semi-Automatic Weapons Filed

This bill if passed would ban my Marlin .22 semi-auto rifle because it has a 14 round tubular magazine. Bill filed bans all semi-auto pistols and rifles that hold more than 10 rounds, all AR / AK "style" rifles (If it resembles an AR15 or AK, it's banned regardless of any other specific features), bans shotguns with pistol grips and over 205 rifles by brand and generic type (looks like AR15 or AK). As of this moment it already has 150 co-sponsors.

The Assault Weapons Ban of 2018 will prohibit the sale, transfer, production, and importation of:

 

 

 

· Semi-automatic rifles and pistols with a military-style feature that can accept a detachable magazine;

 

 

 

· Semi-automatic rifles with a fixed magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds;

 

 

 

· Semi-automatic shotguns with a military-style feature;

 

 

 

· Any ammunition feeding device that can hold more than 10 rounds;

 

 

 

· And 205 specifically-named and listed firearms.

I have e-mailed my reps and senators.  My NRA web site gave me the e-mail addresses of all of my state's reps and I contacted all of them.  I strongly urge everyone to let their voice be heard/read.
