Domestic abuse in the militia

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

For members that feel the need to beat women and think they can get away away with it are nothing but cowards.

I wouldn't let that kinda of worthless scum into our unit.

Perhaps a topic of what shouldn't be allowed in.

We should show resistance towards those who rape and beat women.

Vetting your members is important. There are a variety of ways to do so, but none are perfect. Many domestic abuse victims do not report it.

Its part of the process. I was looking for some resources I had read about vetting for the non-police, but I can't find them right now. What I do recall, is that you start with just an in-person meeting, if the vibes aren't totally off, you ask them for some basic information (work, associations [NRA, etc]), then you check their social media. There are other sources saying to only accept via one member vouching for the prospective member first, then do the process, another says to have the potential member pay the cost to have a background check done.

It can get crazy, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to vet a potential member.
