Gun purchasers may need to submit social media history under proposed New York legislation

Recommended Posts

as if you needed another reason to be careful what you post on social media

Those looking to buy a gun in New York may need to submit their social media profiles and search history prior to purchase if new firearm legislation in the state becomes law.

Under the legislation drafted by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and State Senator Kevin Parker, both Democrats, up to three years’ worth of search history on social media would be able to be reviewed, ABC Action News reported.

Senate Bill 9191, according to WHAM, mandates "social media and search engine reviews prior to the approval of an application or renewal of a license to carry or possess a pistol or revolver; requires a person applying for a license to carry or possess a pistol or revolver or a renewal of such license to consent to having his or her social media accounts and search engine history reviewed and investigated for certain posts and/or searches over a period of 1-3 years prior to the approval of such application or renewal; defines terms

Under the proposed legislation, law enforcement officials could investigate "commonly known profane slurs used or biased language used to describe race, national origin, ancestry, gender, religion, disability or sexual orientation; threatening health or safety of another person, or an act of terrorism."

My search history is set to delete upon exit.  What if you don't have a computer?  Is everyone required to get and use a computer now to own a gun?  Things like this are precisely why I use a throwaway email with none of my personal information on the account, I am never logged into any of my email accounst while I am browsing the net and I use a call sign on here and other such site.  Yes if they really want to find you bad enough they can, but I am not going to make it easy or cheap for them to do so!

I Find The Proposed Senate Bill as A Repulsive Measure as we'll ever see.  That Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams even Co-sponsored This [email protected]# of So-called Legislation is beyond "Comment".  Adams is a Retired NYPD Officer, should know better and furthermore should know better than most Proponents of this Legislation that this will only will Guarantee a Very Strong "Black Market".  Most of The Left Leaning Socialists in The Five Boroughs have their Collective Heads up Their Kulus, and know that Violent Crime is not at Level that would call upon this Type of Legislation.  This is nothing more than an Attempt to be able to "Cull" the Internet in an attempt to Identify those Citizens who are "Pro Constitutionalists", and as a result will be used down the Line to Confiscate Firearms.  Most Veterans within The Five Boroughs knew that this was coming and chances are unless there are any last minute "Hi Jinxs" pulled(Arm Twisting) this Legislation will not make it out of The Senate Chamber.  That most of The Citizens of NYS are involved in preparing for "The Holidays" does not help matters at all, there are enough of us in the rest of NYS to render Some Very Stiff Resistence.  This is just one of Many Reasons why this War on Constitutional Rights will probably go Kinetic, The Globalists are doing everything within Their Political Power to make Conflict Inevitable.

The Government cant do that. I don't care what state it is. For example, DMV Fraud. Since when do we need driver's license to drive/travel in conveyance? Yes, it is happening right now. The Movement act states “The right of a citizen to travel upon the public highways and to transport his property thereon, by horse drawn carriage, wagon, or automobile, is not a mere privilege which may be permitted or prohibited at will, but a common right which he has under his right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Under this constitutional guaranty one may, therefore, under normal conditions, travel at his inclination along the public highways or in public places, and while conducting himself in an orderly and decent manner, neither interfering with nor disturbing another’s rights, he will be protected, not only in his person, but in his safe conduct.” It is not a free right if we have to pay for it.

To see that the government is stating this is ridiculous. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This crap is infringing on that right. It is also going against the 4th amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. It is also taking away the right to plead the 5th: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. , DO NOT TREAD ON MY RIGHTS, OORAH!!!!

PS, My love letter to Senator Kevin Parker: Make note of this Mr. Parker. What you are about to do with having social media profiles checked before being able to buy a gun is treasonous. I will have you arrested. under what probable cause do you have to over throw the 4th amendment to "Search" profiles on the social media? You have none!!!. What right do you have to over throw the 2nd amendment states:the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Who are you to infringe without a cause? The 5th amendment states: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury,... nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law. Think i wont issue an arrest for you? Try me. Step down!!! Unlike some people, Ill fight for my rights and others. The right to defend, rather it is for myself or others, it is my right. I'm one bold s.o.b lol.

Yea I know. Like i have had stated before, The U.S.A. is no longer a free state. The government is trying their damnedest to take control. I mean, look at the "gun control false flags". I know the government are paying people to cause shootings. It has never been this bad until Obama, and has even gotten worse when Trump started running for president because he screwed up their plans to take this country over using ISIS. ISIS is still in this country and using the 2nd amendment against us because there is nothing the government can do about it if they are here legally. And the idiots want to take our guns. PFFT, they gonna have to pry it from my dead hands. My request is when I die, Let my ass stick out and bronze it so the government can kiss it

What the heck is this "social media" thing?  Never had and never will have or use....flip phone (only because I have too) and NO voice mail or text messages either...BTW, I forwarded all emails to Hillary's server, automatically, anyway!  I guess they will be interested in members of this forum too!?
