Ripcannon Posted November 29, 2018 So, here are some cool things were trying to come up with,, just ta hangout and shoot...so far we got some pretty cool gas powered trucks, and a few helium tanks.,. we tie different size strings to balloons its pretty fun and better practice than a non moving targets I think,,,we also been working on a hanging a semi moving boat I got the idea from another range 1 guy don't wanna get on and try it but again pretty fun and ups the skill from non moving shooting...so we really got nothing other than this and normal training, repelling ,E.M.T,sar,run nd gunnin.ext...so if you got any fun or non fun training ideas let me know I may put it to use...on a side note how do yaw feel about mixing alcohol and guns because I've recently found a patriot group that exercises this I don't agree with it and decided to drop it but I really don't like having this info its not cool in my eyes. Ripcannon Posted November 29, 2018 yeah it took me off guard to see people showing up to what was supposed to be a "ftx" between 2groups and the patriots show up drinking and had plans on finishing the case during training...it didn't work out I just didn't know how common this is considering 1.)its illegal 2.)its irresponsible and C.)I don't think training would be that effective...I don't think buzzed folks will be able to retain to much...thanks for confirming what I thought as well.
ReCon Posted November 29, 2018 I'm glad at our ftxs I have never seen that.... we train for 3 days and in the evenings well for some thats Miller time never and I repeat never have we drunk and trained.... and anyone who would show up to the range drunk or even Buzzed will be turned away that's what range officers are for... Rkak25 Posted November 29, 2018 Maybe even something as airsoft or paint ball. While not great for long range, it still takes communication and coordination to still run drills.
Ripcannon Posted November 29, 2018 they called it at there location,we showed up and they were a hour late...so we all kinda met looked at each other funny and I said this aint gonna work and we boogied on out of there and went shooting...but a day later I get a call like I was the asshole for leaving...idk I gotta say first awkwardly bad experience with a whole group 8 people.its a pop up group as well so I tried...I guess with good come the bad no matter how hard you try to avoid it.there called like the erie watchmen they weren't 100% on that but there patches read that....Exposed.haha
John Last Posted November 30, 2018 (edited) I agree. Alcohol and guns don't mix. You can put me on record with that. Deadly weapons combined with impaired mental ability is a recipe for trouble. I like the paintball concept of improving squad/platoon tactics and communication: good idea! Edited November 30, 2018 by John Last
Ripcannon Posted November 30, 2018 yeah I finally learned don't trust even your closes friends with airsoft im a fan of paintball training...its great to actively hunt your friends and make a fun take down plan....

First: be on time for your appointments. I'll wait 15 minutes for somebody: traffic, late start etc. can happen to anybody. At 30 minutes I leave: something came up and you couldn't make it. If I wait for an hour, it has to be pretty important for ME, and if they don't show, it tells me everything I need to know about them.
