Mattis is out, some are nervous

Recommended Posts

Here is the Deep State revealing itself!
Read the Constitution. Sec of Defense has NO power or Constitutional authority to act as a “check” on the president.

If Mattis thought he did or was attempting to, then no reason to keep him on as SoD.  I trust President Trump’s discernment.

Mattis' sudden departure leaves uncertainty in the Pentagon

Here's how I see it.  Secretary Mattis is an excellent Secretary of Defense: knows his stuff front to back... He is, however (as we all are) a product of his experiences.  If you tell him to do XYZ that's exactly what he will do.  Now we get to his personal mindset.  I don't know the man personally, but his mission for the last 30+ years has been to aggressively engage the enemy and destroy him.  He's conditioned to confront an enemy.  I believe now is the time when we need to re-evaluate our "global commitments".  Remember that no foreign country really cares about the USA.  If they join us, it's to further their own interests.  We have been the strongman/world (military) superpower for over 70 years.  We are facing some major challenges right here, right now.  A civil war with communist/anarchist Antifa for one (but includes socialist members of deep state and Congress): sponsored in part, I believe, by an educational system that has betrayed our nation's ideals.  Sanctuary cities which don't recognize Federal laws.  An economic war with China, Russia and others who would love to see our economic might crippled or destroyed.  An invasion (UN sponsored?) of illegal immigrants that could literally re-make our country.  Crumbling infrastructure (which we will need if there's a real war).  The real possibility of a shooting war on several fronts (Iran, Baltic countries, Ukraine, Pacific/China etc.).  And if I spent a little time thinking about it, I could add more.

I believe we need a Sec. Def. who can re-focus on the military problems confronting a nation on the downturn: juggling political and economic priorities as well as our military objectives.  Remember, the Roman legions were winning wars in far off lands when the city fell to the Barbarians.  Our power is not unlimited and we need to take care of our own interests.  Do you honestly think 2000 men at an installation (Syria, Poland, Estonia etc.) can hold against a serious assault by several armored divisions with air support?  If victory is possible in Afghanistan, why haven't we achieved it after 17 years?  Time to start thinking about which fights are worth fighting.

I did a little checking and here are a couple of numbers that illustrate how helpful our allies are to "the cause" of protecting world democracy.  At it's peak the US had roughly 100,000 soldiers in Afghanistan.  The British peaked at about 9,500 and the Dutch a little under 2,000, while the French had approximately 4,000.  A pretty niggardly showing if you ask me... considering over 330,000 American soldiers died in Europe, bailing them out TWICE.  The importance of our allies indeed.

I do believe this may all be theater (optics) for the fake news media and the Democrats.

On the other hand, Mattis did not want Trump to pull out of the Iran deal, the Paris Climate Accird, etc.

I don’t know how much of the top TOP secret Military Intelligence Mattis was privy too but Trump was getting facts from them so of course Trump would have info Mattis didn’t.

I have learned that when Trump states something, it ALWAYS is proven out to be true. Trump loves this country possibly more than any living person and certainly more than ANY politician.

I trust Trump even when I don’t understand because I believe his heart and his goals.

Who we are

We are a community of concerned patriots who are not overly confident in the current direction of our society, from the wild political climate to what can be summed up as a lack of morals or a complete void of integrity and pretty much a blatant disregard of respect..... Respect for our past, respect for our future and respect for each other. In order to protect our constitution and life as we know it, we decided to not be the silent majority anymore and pull our selves up by the bootstraps and make the world a better place. This website is to unite people like us, people who want to make a difference ... and do it the right way, Little did we know that in doing so we would create the number one militia community online. Here we are. Enjoy.
