NRA Announces Launch of Community Engagement Division

Recommended Posts

The National Rifle Association recently announced the launch of a new division within the association, the Community Engagement Division. The Community Engagement Division serves to renew NRA’s commitment to members, affiliated clubs and organizations, and the shooting community.

The NRA Community Engagement Division will provide NRA members, youth, and others of all ages, with educational programming and resources, according to a NRA press release. Programs such as Clubs and Associations, Eddie Eagle GunSafe, Refuse To Be A Victim, Women’s Wilderness Escape, Youth Hunter Education Challenge, Hunters for the Hungry, Online Hunter Education and the Range Technical Team, showcase the outreach efforts that NRA General Operations provides to communities across the county. These programs offer and support a wide array of interests in the shooting sports.

“This change comes with a renewed focus on the importance of engaging the NRA membership while supporting our affiliated clubs and organizations.” says Elizabeth Bush, Managing Director, Community Engagement. “We have the unique opportunity to truly support NRA’s mission to promote public safety, as well as to foster and promote the shooting sports.”

“NRA Community Engagement is the grassroots of education, the outdoors and firearm safety” says Joseph P. DeBergalis, Jr., Executive Director of General Operations. “These programs, coupled with NRA School Shield and our outstanding civilian and law enforcement instructors, provides a wide range of opportunities to those who want to gain experience and train.”

The NRA made news of a different sort more recently when NRA-ILA’s Chris Cox resigned following allegations he participated in a failed coup to oust Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre. Further, the organization has come under fire in recent months for alleged financial impropriety. Meanwhile, a growing number of members have asked for LaPierre’s resignation in recent weeks.

Instead, this new initiative aims to reconnect with the NRA membership. To find more about NRA’s programs and opportunities in your area, visit explore.nra.org/.

Who we are

We are a community of concerned patriots who are not overly confident in the current direction of our society, from the wild political climate to what can be summed up as a lack of morals or a complete void of integrity and pretty much a blatant disregard of respect..... Respect for our past, respect for our future and respect for each other. In order to protect our constitution and life as we know it, we decided to not be the silent majority anymore and pull our selves up by the bootstraps and make the world a better place. This website is to unite people like us, people who want to make a difference ... and do it the right way, Little did we know that in doing so we would create the number one militia community online. Here we are. Enjoy.
