It often does seem to be heading on a similar path although some differences due to types of governments and factors unique to the times.  Every culture and country that has been at the top peak in history never thought it would end.

Interesting also, how countries like Sweden, Switzerland and Iceland have been around for a long time, are probably as free as we are, and don't go sticking their noses everywhere like America does, and don't seem to have the problems we do here in the States. I think we should learn from them, instead of starting new wars all the time for the military industrial complex (civilian and government businessmen).

This is a topic that has always fascinated me and one that I think everyone should delve into researching on their own as it puts our current situation into perspective. None of these similarities were accidental and our Founders knew pretty much exactly what they were doing. This girl made a well-researched documentary that is more than worth 2 hours of your time if you're interested:<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/62Hok9BkYcY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

By all means, learn anytime there is something to glean. In this instance, I would start by asking myself what kind of world would we be living in without a United States? Would Switzerland, Sweden and Iceland still be there had we not been on the map the last 200 years? Highly doubtful. One oversight can change the world. And so are the challenges of our current leaders of this nation. Literally every decision they make causes a never-ending ripple in the fabric of reality-future.

The primary questions:

Republic or Democracy? Are We As Ancient Rome?

There's only about  a thousand ways we can approach these questions. At my age I always tend to follow the least intellectually strenuous.

Republic or Democracy?
It's a Republic. We are a Republic and always have been. However Democrats continually seek to overthrow the very foundation of our Constitution by pressing toward a "Democracy", so they say... but that's only when it's convenient for them. In the secret chambers, they are all about Monarchy, Oligarchy, and who knows who and what have their cash filled hands embedded into the various "Administrative States" that have effectively circumvented the separation of powers outlined in the Constitution?

Are we as ancient Rome?

There are two perspectives here that must be examined:

  1. What the Founders created.
  2. What we have done and are doing with the government they created.

The "way" our government operates (Having a Senate, etc.) bears alot of similarity to Rome's structure of government. It proved to be a very strong form of government that could quite possibly have been sustained indefinitely. It was a "Republic", meaning "ruled by law". What was as different as night is from day comparing Rome to The United States is the actual "LAW" that was used to pour the footers in America's Foundation, given in our Constitution. Our laws bore no resemblance to the law of Rome. Our law sought divine Guidance from God. Rome's law did not. The very law unique to America throughout all of time created the most prosperous, successful and powerful country in all of history in less than 200 years, a feat never before accomplished and it will never be accomplished again in all of the future.

That said, even given all the differences in our laws, there one MAJOR thing we have in common simply because Americans have been dumbed down to the point that they even fail to look at it: Decay. Decay of law, decay of conviction, and a decay of society. There's absolutely NOTHING our Founders could have done about the choices of future Americans to abandon that which was laid in the concrete of our foundation. That's all on us. One generation at a time... the responsibility to either build upon the wisdom of our past, or ignore it through ignorance, whether or not it was thrust upon us by invading ideologies.  America right now is experiencing the same decay that eventually consumed Rome. That decay has been an intended goal of anti-American coalitions too many to list here.

America can no longer fix the problems we have even from a legal standpoint (repairing broken law designed for high-level criminals) with a simple majority vote of 51-49. America's traditional Democratic party is dead, having been replaced by our enemies virtually all over the globe. The only way we're going to gain any ground, advance to any high ground what-so-ever, is to become responsible to a call not seen in recent history. We need to turn out to vote in such overwhelming numbers that we achieve a SUPER MAJORITY's (a 2/3rds majority) in the House of Representatives, The Senate and retaining the office of the Presidency. This affords us the ability to legislate without even allowing the anti-Americans to participate in said legislation. That's how they do it (if you'll remember 2008). That's what we'll need to do to set this national Constitutional train back on it's track toward its intended purpose. But even then, we have SO MUCH to undo.

But you know? Before we can do ANY of that? We have to have a nation that cares. A nation united. A nation standing up to be counted doing for their country instead of continually whining about what the country can do for them.

Yes. Many similarities... but also stark differences in government that no one else will ever possess. If all of America only realized what they had/have... they wouldn't be so willing to trade it for empty promises. If only America followed after God and His ways while realizing our own imperfections, we could walk in an integrity not entirely our own... as we always have... and we would have a deep appreciation for all things American... as all early Americans did. Then, maintaining our country wouldn't have to be a "goal"... it would be a result from an traditionally American lifestyle.

Wow. This original video was posted in 2015... and in listening to it right now, this guy is saying many of the things I've been saying for years and even today.. such as the "birthright for a bowl of stew", lol... I have never heard this video before just now, though I have been familiar with Perry Stone for many years...

"For all practical purposes, it can be said that America is the modern day continuation of Rome." - Perry Stone.

I don't think I can quite agree with that... There are such stark differences from conception onward, I could by no stretch say we are a "continuation". We simply borrowed some of their ideas that worked.

Perry also kind of drums up his own definition of "empire". The real definition of empire is:

  1. an extensive group of states or countries under a single supreme authority, formerly especially an emperor or empress.
    "the Roman Empire"
  2. a large commercial organization owned or controlled by one person or group.
    "her business empire grew"
I think there is political understanding that's came to light that has revealed America has been governed as an empire on many levels, all of them silent, all of them hidden from the public, all of it driven by individuals and groups that controlled the power and influence completely outside that which was supposed to be governed by elected officials. These people are now known as the Deep State. Technically, they are the various departments, bureaus, administrations, etc., that wield total powers of the legislative, judicial and executive, all within themselves to be challenged by no one outside that agency, not even Congress. Unelected officials have been doing things like making top secret trade deals and creating top secret foreign policy for 80 years. They have had puppet Presidents that serve as the face men in order to talk to America, tell us what we want to hear, manipulate us into focusing on one thing while they secretly achieve something else entirely... mainly the President served as a face and a voice of distraction while this secret "empire" did what they did.

But all that changed in 2016... and all of it was for the very first time, COMPLETELY EXPOSED.

So... Yes. America has been ran as an empire by people that have literally hijacked our government from within without anyone even knowing. But hopefully, we are set to course to correct some of that...

This is some very good food for thought... Never thought of it like this before...

Perry estimated the time America became an empire was in 1945, 70 years ago, thereabouts. I would contend it happened closer to 80 years ago with the creation of the Administrative State (what we call Deep State since Donald Trump brought all these things to light). The Admin. State was created out of Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, which launched a large bureaucracy and empowered it with broad governing authority in 1933. From there the violation of our Constitution has only been compounded time, after time, after time, after time, on & on & on.

In Perry's defense, this video was released before the Deep State was dragged kicking and screaming out into the light by now President Donald Trump in 2016.

I was unaware that Rome taxed it's wealthy people into non-existence. But the parallels Stone points out between Rome and America are accurate assuming the history of Rome is what Perry says it is here. But the particular order of social decay mentioned herein would follow ANY and EVERY society that makes these same mistakes.

Yeah. I've read one volume, or book, of three called The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire, and many parallels exist. Prominent historians have cited that book. Can't remember who wrote it, but it's from some years ago. It may be entitled '...Ancient Roman...', I forget.

I think proceedings or pre-trqs for the deep state started under Andrew Jackson. He mistakenly signed a bill into law or something, started by Sec of Treas Chase, in 1837, which gave banks much control. He was against it but was fooled. Apparently agents from the banks of England tried killing him.

Some believe that JFK was shot because he was ready to sign Exexutive Order 11110 into law, which was reportedly to do away with the Federal Reserve Bank, an illegally created, civilian institution, giving the money power back to Congress, stripping banks of their undue power over the people and country, correcting, hopefully, the economy and industry.

This is what I mean by Deep State:

Video: https://www.facebook.com/ARGPoliticalNews/videos/1970484796378311/

Reports from The heritage Foundation:
https://www.heritage.org/political-process/report/the-birth-the-administrative-state-where-it-came-and-what-it-means-limited
and
https://www.heritage.org/political-process/report/administrative-state-constitutional-government

Keep in mind, you rarely hear about more than one or two "little kings" at a time. Throughout this entire Mueller investigation, the little king of the CIA, the little king of the FBI , the little king of the Justice Department and their inner circles were the main players in the coup against the President.

Now just so you can start to wrap your mind around the real problem, here is a PARTIAL LIST of FEDERAL AGENCIES that are all a part of the growing network of the Deep State:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_federal_agencies_in_the_United_States
Each of them make their own law, they choose who they will convict and who they will not convict, they have judicial power to render a verdict, AND they have the power to enforce themselves upon us. EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM, without authorization from ANYONE else. The effectively hold ALL THREE POWERS IN THEIR HANDS. ALL of these agencies make their own laws without the knowledge of Congress. Unelected people in positions of supreme powers are making the laws for us to live by.

That's supposed to be the job of Congress.

But not the way the Dems see it. Republicans too, really. They basically "contracted out" their job as legislators so they could learn how to act and parade before America on cameras to pitch their various agendas.

Yeah. We've been asleep a VERY long time.

I know what you mean, but I believe that the Deep State is tied in with the world bankers. They all know they can't take us over by force right now. But they're doing the same thing to we the people that they did to the Native Americans, except in a white collar way. They couldn't defeat the Indians in combat, man for man, or in groups once the Indians got guns. So they destroyed their food supply, gave them diseases and pushed them out by surrounding them with indoctrinated settlers (erroneous religious and political thinking caused the White Man to believe that they had a God given right to push the Indian out or destroy them).

Now, they're destroying our incomes, our morale and overwhelming us with brainwashed people who think Socialism is good. Same principle, modern methods.

Many people have had airtight cases against corrupt government people, but can't afford the astronomical attorney fees, plus all the red tape.

Feds call criminals, even mafia people, all the time and discuss things. Sometimes they make backdoor deals. It's all corrupt. Not to mention, like you pointed out, the feds' by-laws, which are illegal.

They intimidate employers, bank managers, cops, you name it. They could nail big time criminals at times, who own huge businesses, but it would disrupt the economy too much, so the feds give in to blackmail or just make deals. Unless it's too important and sensitive, like human trafficking.

Just the other day I was told that Jesse Ventura named several tycoons who were tied in with world bankers who have a stranglehold on America, some such thing. That was Jesse's last show, off the air.

They're called the Bilderbergs now. Reportedly, Obama and Hillary had secret meetings with them. They run the economies, and they run the governments, I believe. JFK would have prevented it, I think.

Not just Alex Jones thinks so, but Gerald Celente, Webster Tarpley, many others.

This is what I'm getting at there. Make sense?

Another source that ties in with everything is 666truth.org. That is all Biblical prophecy, but prophecy has also always, how can I word it?, political affiliations event-wise.

I highly respect the Catholics in many ways, but as we speak, the Papacy is pushing for what you could call a one world church. I'm afraid that there are fairly direct ties in that endeavor with the new, or one, world order. I love Pastor Doug Batchelor, and many others, Stone, Amir, Adrian Rogers, and most especially the late David Wilkerson.

The key video lesson I'm referring to mostly is labelled, I think, 'The Mark of the Beast', mentioning when Napolean had Gen. Berthier capture the then Pope, in 1798, same year, depending on how you view it, that the U.S. was recognized as a nation by the rest of the world.

Another good one to discover how prophecy ties in with political agendas and current/past history is 'The Prophecy Club' with Stan Johnson.

Brother? I think you are right on time. I KNOW for a fact that with 80 years of culminating and cultivating power, the Deep State has it's tentacles spanning the entire globe in corruption. Our most powerful agencies, such as the CIA, the Justice Department and the FBI have long been about tearing down whole governments without ever firing a shot. Then they make sure and replace that fallen government, and they will sustain that government... all depending on either leadership (which is supposed to be the President's foreign policy) or their own agendas, which means they intimidate the President into standing back, shutting up... they make him turn his head and they give him a script to read to US, the American people. Why have Presidents cowered before the Deep State? For one they are groomed to be President before they ever get out of college. They are taught little by little who is in charge and who has the real power. Past Presidents have known of the wrath they would incur should they go against the Deep State. We now know what that is by watching Washington for the last 3 1/2 years.

Yes Sir. The Deep State (our most powerful agencies and administrations) are most certainly tied to world bankers and every other corrupt global entity.

I think Trump is bent on destroying all of that. As long as he beats the impeachment, which has been entirely unconstitutional, we have a chance of sustaining, maintaining and regaining.

Mighty ironic how Alex Jones has been demonized by the government, but now, things he's been saying are coming to light. And he isn't the only one.

I'm 40 minutes into watching the 2 hour video by that girl, listed above these postings I think, or on a different one, and it's blowing my mind. It's so right on.

I'll tell you, if these churches would get real preachers, and we'd get genuine patriots in government, and our education system would get rid of Socialist propaganda, the USA would shine once again.

I think the elites are using some phony church doctrines as a large part of their new world order: predestination (only certain people can be saved); dispensation theology (in a nutshell, humans have kinda evolved into intellectual superhumans, thus we are our own gods and don't need Christ or the Holy Ghost)(also what helped fuel violent western expansionism, a corporate-type mindset and spirit); all religions lead to the same God.

Ironically, Muslims, which Obama says he is, can deny their faith, murder fellow Muslims and use whatever means necesary to advance their cause. According to Walid Shoebat, Hitler met with Muslim leaders, wanted to make Islam Germany's national religion.

And the elitists will use anything they can to take over the world. They'd probably get a rude awakening if they used someone like ISIS, then went to get rid of them after the mission was complete. That'd be a violent fiasco. But here is that video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/62Hok9BkYcY.

It's absolutely blowing my mind. Another source for what has been occurring for years is 'The Underground Empire-Where Government and Crime Embrace' by James Mills. I believe it to be true. CENTAC, mentioned in it, was a real government entity, which could have destroyed the illegal drug trade, but was disbanded due to, you guessed it, political reasons. Now, the terrorists and Socialists have wide open doors.

Tardy to the party, but a comment as to the original subject ~" And to the Republic for which it stands " ~ I would say the entire nation has for the most part forgotten this much of our own Pledge of Allegiance and how our nation was framed up to be. I don't think I can personally deny that we do have a draw to democracy but I do not think it is the democracy in the true definition of the word. I think the word " democracy " itself , has now become political slang for " Freedom " which is used by both parties now when speaking, but misused by Democrats more often than not when time an again they can be heard referring to our country as a " democracy ".

2 hours ago, Claw Hammer said:

I honestly think trump will not remove the deep state.  The entire thing is corrupt and diseased.

I agree, I do not think the slate can be wiped clean at all. There are too many roots that will just re sprout and to do an entire reset on the two parties while trying to maintain the frame work of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, would be very hard to do.  It just becomes a never ending game of whack a mole that if too many decide to stop participating then we all lose.

*****An that much right there I find infuriating and this impeachment is really not 100% the democrats fault, I would give 40% to the dems and the other 60% one can split between the Republican Congress who threw everything away when they had the chance to support Trump and really work with him to make repairs to the damage Obama did,  and then not toss being re elected out the window when the last election happened for the Congress and between the conservatives / republicans who didn't show up in force to vote for a conservative/republican for their states congress./////

An while the impeachment is a complete hoax/fraud / coupe/ what ever,  it is still rather scary that it would only take 4-5 Senator republicans to jump ship and become bigger traitors than Ben Arnold himself.  An poof. Everything really turns worse. We would still have Pence but still...... Mean while, all Pelosi and Clinton wanted was a way to slander Trump in Nov 2020 to say he was impeached over and over and over and over, and to ignore the fact that Slick Willy was too, and still kept his office.  The double standards are beyond gross with Democrats. An more over, there just is nothing to shut them up or admit that they are wrong. They can be humiliated and it just infuriates them and causes them to change the narrative, the only time they seem to back down is in losing in a court case, and even then, they sweep it under the rug. Like with the teen in the pro life rally, currently has won a settlement from CNN for slander.. maybe one lil blurb was mentioned and poof gone. Jessie Smolett, the fake victim of a purported lynch attempt, got caught red handed lying , and the left covers for him, and then sweeps it away and on to the next.

An it is just this insane never ending game. That is literally only getting worse through out history. Trump will win in 2020, but that only means the democrats and the left world wide are going to strike twice as hard in the upcoming 4 years than they have this time around.

America is becoming Blue America.  "Progressives" will increasingly dominate national government -- and many state  governments. And the Hard Left, the Left of Identity Politics, White Privilege, Reparations, 'Anti-Imperialism', etc.  will increasingly dominate the Progressives.  The demographs cannot be argued with.

What can we expect of Blue America?  The police will be more and more restricted when dealing with members of favored client groups of the Progressives. Already Elizabeth Warren and Kamela Harris say that the shooting of Michael Brown was "murder".   The border will be surreptitiously opened. And the hollowing out of the miilitary will continue.

Slowly Americans who don't want to be carried down into the sewer will realize that they must concentrate and separate.

In the meantime, let's keep tabs on Progessive Efforts to undermine the military. Here's an interesting article (abstract only) of their progress in the Air Force:

“This Is a Man’s Job”: Challenging the Masculine “Warrior Culture” at the U.S. Air Force Academy

First Published November 11, 2018 Research Article

Abstract

This article explores models of identity at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Drawing on qualitative data gathered through a number of focus groups with cadets, it finds that despite technological changes that have revolutionized the battle space and policy efforts to shift the cultural identity of the forces, ideal identities remain infused with concepts that value the classical model of the heroic masculine. It suggests that functionally, this highly prized “warrior” ethos is becoming less relevant but could have the effect of undermining efforts to “diversify” the Academy. In the absence of a fundamental reconsideration of what constitutes the “ideal” air force officer, efforts to alter the demography and exclusionary culture at the Academy will be stymied.

Lol. You definitely need a dictionary to decipher that one. Even then, due to a variety of definitions per word, hard to say what it really means. Had to have been written by a Lefter. Kinda like the Obamacare plan, needs an attorney from Harvard to figure out exactly what it means, and then it's subject to interpretation. Thanks, Doug.

Boy, been a load of great postings over the weekend, very informative. However, my mind is now so boggled from further discovering what's really going on, think I'll watch something tonite that makes more sense than the current state of the union, like 'Family Guy'. Lol.
