Alternate routes and RP's

When and if the SHTF, it is pretty likely that the some Farm to Market roads,  along with the main arteries in and around cities and metro areas will be blocked off.  If you use only one route leading to the rally point and travel the same route all of the time, what would you do if that particular route were to get cut off?  It might be a good idea to have more than one way to get to the RP.  Naturally, every set of circumstances is a little different and you can't clump them into  text book situations to cover everything.   It's a good to have a contingency route to fall back on, though, especially if the main one can't be used...that is, if your specific situation allows it.

 

But that brings up something else.  Rally Points.   It makes sense to have a local RP...one that can be reached quickly by team members that are in the area.  In a bad situation, you probably should'nt spend a lot of time on the road.  If the roads are blocked, one could be apprehended or killed; also, the vehicle could break down and a person could end up being a sitting duck,  The less time you spend on the road, the better-it lessens the chance that you'll be spotted and stacks the odds in your favor.

 

Rally Points.  They're a good thing.  A muster point for groups, and in my opinion, when and if something breaks loose, it is better to be part of a group than to be alone. There is safety in numbers.
