Hey Grey One, We have actually met a few years ago.  I was then in another militia group and we all met at a restaurant in Mancelona.  Any ways, one of your posts you said to give you the unit contact information for the area code.

Just a question of curiosity.  Right now we are in the lead for the Amazon gift card for 231 area code members.  Say we win it, then what.  How does it get dispersed?  Myself I don't give a shit.  I don't think Chad gave that a deep thought.  I only ask because some units may be hurting.

So what incentive is there for separate militias to join the area code militia?

Do not want any militias to separate, the Area Code units are to help with the networking aspect of it. In the 740 Militia I am in we send all people to local units if they do not want to join them we either help them start their own or bring them in as members of the 740.

 

The whole reason why we started this initiative is because we have thousands of people who join our various outlets looking for a unit and seldom does someone step up and take them.

 

This way we know exactly what to do. In this case someone joins from the 231 ... we send them here! you guys divert them where they should be or help them.

Well, I'm hoping that this works the way its intended; getting folks pointed in the right direction so they can join a militia that is near them.  That's something we run into all the time when it comes to inquiries via FB or our website itself, folks who are looking for a militia to join, but are so far out of the area of where we are, I end up sending them to the militias I know about, and are in good standing.  This site, makes that so much easier now for those who are looking.  We put up a link on our FB page and on our website.
