A Brief Q&A on COVID-19 Preparations

Hey Gang – I’m getting enough questions that it’s more economical for me to write a blog post rather than trying to answer them individually.

Question: Is COVID-19 that big of a threat?

Answer: For the average American, the greater risk is actually the financial and economic impact of COVID-19.

I’m not concerned about catching COVID-19, as 80 percent of cases are mild. The older you are and the worse shape you’re in, the more you should be concerned.

If you’re reasonably healthy, then you have less to worry about.

I’m way more concerned about impacts to the economy.

A friend in the janitorial business just had a conference call with the parent company about this. The presenter said that of the 48 on the call, 36 would end up with the virus, 12 of them would never know it, 20 would feel like they had a cold, 3 would think they had flu, and 1 would be severe enough to seek medical help. All statistically of course. It's being blown out of proportion from everything I can gather.

Tempstar i realize that is statistics they were talking about. But that sounds like a classic case of fear mongering too.
