In '81 we moved into town, and took food we'd canned in a pressure cooker, in glass jars. Some was marked '74, still good, none bad, occasionally a seal will break, then no good. No telling how long it would have kept. In '84 in basic training we ate c-rations that were canned during WWII, still fine.
