Unless something has been changed, to the best of my knowledge you don't have to give a location to register or if you do it can be anything you want to put in.  If I am wrong please let me know and I will look into it.  I can tell you my given location is not my exact location but an intersection several miles away from me and I only put that in for a location in my area near me on the member map.  If you want your location changed and not able to do it, send me a personal message on our PM system, envelope on the tool bar and I will change it to what you want.
