If you own a Mossberg 500 or variant always have a spare bolt lock pin on hand, they are known to split and when that happens the firearm will be tougher than normal to rack.

They run about $4.00 at gunpartscorp.com

my shoulder cant handle the recoil of those mules, a 410 with a slug in it as far as i am going to go ill probably end up shooting in long range anyway LOL putting a scope or red dot on it

It all depends on your use of the firearm, if it's defense you are talking close range and you can easily learn to shoot a 12 gauge from the hip, that's the only way I shoot a shotgun and you would want to be the guy I am shooting at, I can nail center of mass every time without shouldering the firearm. And by learning to shoot from the hip aiming becomes instinctual so you can use your vision for situational awareness without having to use the sights, though with defensive you really don't anyhow even shouldered.
