I read that Kansas is having a " Million Person Open Carry March " on July 4th.

Is there going to be a " Million Person Open Carry March " in Frankfort Kentucky on July 4th ?

A million? I didn't know that there were even a million people in Kansas!

But a peaceful show of strength is a good idea right now.  If these are held in several areas on the same date, I hope that they are not so close together as to be competitive.

Two ideas, one only half-serious.

(1) The Intelligence Task Force informs me that you've got branches of both the Socialist Rifle Association, and of Redneck Revolt in Kansas. (Details supplied upon request -- just PM me.)

Why not invite them to this march?  It will cause some consternation in their ranks if you do. Their members believe that we are all neoNazis. Such an invitation will induce cognitive dissonance.

(2)  We MUST have a public presence at these marches.  We need big banners, and signs, and leaflets, with  MyMilitia.com prominently on them. We ought to talk about this now, there is not much time.

(3) Maybe this is already being done, but the local militia unit(s) in the cities where these marches are being held, should see this as a golden opportunity to get more well known, and to recruit. They should consider, within the limits of their resources, arranging transport, places to sleep the day before and the day after the march. Maybe they could hold a post-march BBQ?  And they too should have a leaftlet which would allow local people to contact them.  A simple message:

  ---one person with a gun = 1.

--- 10 people with guns, and an organization, = 100.

--- 100 people with guns, and an organization, = 10 000.

There is a general formula here, the discovery of which is left as an exercise for the student.

You can get a lot further in life with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone.

Hi Correus,

Huh, I originally read it here on My Militia.

The name " Million Person Open Carry March " is apparently the name of a Facebook group.

That`s all I know about it.

I haven`t heard anything else either.

Was wondering if something was going on here in Kentucky too, but haven`t found anything.

It woukd be nice if something like that were to happen, not just here in Kansas and in Kentucky, but in every state.  I know I'd go.

I get the significance of doing it on tge 4th, especially this one, yet - IMHO - trying to do something like this on a major holiday is about like asking for a low turnout.

Still, it would be nice.
