402 Militia Unit Patch

Recommended Posts

I have been looking into a unit patch for the group as a whole. I have found a few decent sites that offer reasonable prices. I however would prefer to find and use a local business for this. We are labeled as the 402 Militia. I ask our leadership is this our full title? And if so can we move ahead with a unit patch? If yes to both, we are in need of artistic design. I think we should have maybe a state shaped patch with a rocker or two. Anyone know of anyone who might want to design a patch? And would anyone be interested in helping with the design of our unit identification? Stay vigilant and patriotic 402. Till we talk again.

UPDATE*****

I wanted to be clear I notice our logo with this page. However that design may or may not be something that could be pretty costly to produce. If that is what we would go with, cool. I am honestly more concerned with making sure we use local business over anything. Thanks again for your time.

If we are still looking for a designer I have a local guy who will design it. Should I go ahead and have him create a rough draft or have you found someone?

Hang tight on that brother. Let’s have our meetup, and if we decide to go light foot militia they have a national emblem. Talk soon.

Sounds great to me. I looked up “Light Foot Militia” and I am reading the Standards and Principles of the Idaho Lightfoot manual and I am really liking it already. Seems like a great way to go!

Enjoy your Independence Day!

Yes that is the exact booklet I was interested in using. I think it is very complete and straight forward. I am currently looking into renting us a small meeting room downtown.  I hope to get at least 6 people to attend so we can discuss the direction to move with this. If we can lock in about 6 people then I will get a date and time set (covid stuff pending of course), and reach out with you all. We could even do something like a dinner as well. That way maybe we could have a fun chat and pass around the binder. I will have binders for all who wish to attend.  Let's get the word out on here and see if we can drum up some interest.

option #1 Meeting room...maybe even pizza or something to have for everyone. I would say 1 to 2 hours max of your time.

option #2 Dinner somewhere...We could have a table with room for our manuals and enjoy libations and dinner at your own expense.

Option #1 - would be more private, but like the manual states I agree with full transparency for the sake of public perception. This can be something that of course happens after the first few meetings.

Option #2- Open and in the publics eye. We don't need to broadcast we are a forming militia, but we wouldn't be hiding it either. This would also allow for some potential fun back and forth and becoming familiar with your fellow patriots.

Both options work for me, I want everyone else to be as comfortable with the decision as possible. We aren't criminals and aren't planning anything illegal. However thanks to media slander, militias have a somewhat bad taste in the mouths of many. If you are liking these suggestions, leave me a comment below so we can get moving on with our meetup.

Happy B-Day America!!

I agree with the 1-2 hour meetup idea; maybe just to get a cup of coffee... that way everyone meets, says hello and if they feel comfortable with who they are with then we can make a plan for a longer meeting some other time. I do propose that we not advertise the 'militia' part of the meeting -- as it was mentioned by Spec. Wilson that term is garnishing a lot of bad press lately. It pains me too say that; but those are the times we are living in--Story after story leads the news every night about decent people (majority of them white) who get fired, harassed for what organization the support or belong too.

I’m totally good with either option. Agreed, it is unfortunate that militias are painted so negatively, since belonging to a militia is arguably the most American thing one can take part in.  It’s a sign of the times that we are currently in. I’m looking forward to meeting you guys!
