Leadership 101: UPPING YOUR GAME

Today is Day Nineteen of the twenty-day "Leadership 101" series I'll be posting...although I miscalculated a bit and wound up being a day back from where I intended, so I adjusted by posting this on day twenty, and will post the twentieth part of this series tomorrow (day 21).

 

This series expresses my thoughts on some topics important to the successful leadership of a local unit, and asks other unit leaders to post their thoughts, ideas, and experiences on the same subject in hopes that together we can help those who are starting from scratch with unit-building.

 

Today the subject is "Upping Your Game".

 

This series has not by any means given you everything you need to get started as a Militia unit founder or commander; it isn't meant to. What it's been meant for is to show you some of the things you'll need to be prepared for, some of the ways you need to think, and to inspire you to look inside and say "I can do that" or "I can deal with that". Just as importantly, it's been meant to show you that time grows short, and we need leaders--people who look at what I've said here and then looked inside themselves and said "I'm the guy (or girl) to do this in my area". Because truth be told, we need a thousand of that person right now.

 

Listen--we can't wait any longer. Nobody can sit on the sidelines, but potential leaders especially can't just sit around and wait for someone else to do something. You need to step to the plate right now. More than anything else we need some real leaders in this country--from politics to sports, from academia to the Militia movement. American needs the until-now silent majority to step up and show that we're serious and that we're to be taken seriously. The first step in that is identifying our leaders and putting them into positions where they can truly lead the effort to restore America, period.

 

The on-the-ground effort for that lies within our movement. We need more than a couple of dozen active, substantial groups across the country (which is what we have now).

 

We need a couple thousand active, substantial groups representing hundreds of thousands, maybe milliions of Patriotic citizen soldiers from shore to shore.

 

It's time to step up. If you have the capability, it's time for you to help us help the country. Lead, because that's what we need.

 

It's time to up your game, personally. That means a boatload of extra work, extra scrutiny, putting yourself on the line. It means stepping outside of your "comfort zone"; in fact, it probably means leaving "comfort" out of your vocabulary for the foreseeable future. But by God Nathan Hale wasn't comfortable as he gave his "one life" for his country. George Washington wasn't comfortable as he boarded a rickety wooden boat on a blustery Christmas morning to cross the Delaware river and take on the Hessians on the other side. And certainly his soldiers weren't comfortable as they endured the brutal winter without shoes at Valley Forge. These are the acts of Patriots. Comfort, in this time, is for the cowards. We're Americans; we don't have time for that shit anymore.

 

American Revolution 2.0 is here, and this time it isn't America fighting to gain it's independence, but to protect that freedom and independence from the Marxist forces that are trying to destroy it. Nobody else is going to step in and "save" us. The truth is we are fighting a war from every side, barely knowing who our enemies are, let alone who we can count on as a "friend". If we don't step up and out of our comfort zones now, our children will be denied every Liberty we currently take for granted. America will fall on our watch, and the slavery that awaits our kids will be on us.

 

There's a second element of "upping your game" I want you to consider. If you have the talent, the dedication, and the sheer balls to take it on, there are leadership opportunities available at the state and national levels as well. Tomorrow I'll be announcing a new national initiative, backed by a national organization, that intends to bring disciplined, laser-focused attention to the task of establishing units in every country across the country...and having them up and running in three months' time. Any sane individual would look at that and say it's a fool's errand. Maybe it is, but I believe to my soul that it's what is required right now to save our communities and our country, so I'm looking for dozens of fools to help me round up and organize thousands of other fools just like us. If you have what it takes--and I mean every ounce of it, including the time and resolve to fully throw yourself into the task and dedicate the next three months (at least) to doing virtually nothing else--I'm going to want to be talking to you.

 

It's time to up your game.

 

No more television. No more sports. And you'll probably want to put that second cheeseburger or eighth hour of sleep (I've been averaging three hours a night for the last month) down for the foreseeable future. You know America is in trouble, and you've bitched because nobody is doing anything about it. Guess what? The someone to do something about it is you!
