Why not? I hate to say it but I suspect the relatively mild nature of SARS-COV-II and it's failure to mutate Spanish-flu style were an enormous disappointment to certain parties. But the plan was already set and they risked exposure rather than change it. Another new one is as good a backup plan as any.

Maybe SARS-COV2 is a test. See who does what, how much can they get away with, take down names and numbers. There hasn't been a single word about "the tick virus" since. Maybe another psyop from china that got killed in/by the "press." So you're right it would wreck their plans. We're in the middle of the biggest cluster fuck of the last 2000 years and that is not hyperbole.
