I've been bouncing between using an Eotech with the Burris AR tripler in a flip mount and my PA 5x ACSS prismatic. I find with the Eotech using the mag I can get 100% hits on a 6" pie plate at 400 and I tend to be faster, which is really further than most terrain in this area requires.  With the PA I can really get the rifle to stretch it's legs, but I think it's a bit overkill for my AO.

Most sniper shots are right around 400 yards anyway that I have read of course you want to hit him with a 308 instead of a aK round ☠️

We switched to AR10's last year as a group and I was hesitant at first (even though I am a huge FAL fan), but we've had great success with it. Most terrain here results in engagements of roughly 300 yards, and zeroing a load that performs similar to M80 at 21 yards POA/POI results in about 3" high at 125 yards, back to POA at 250, about 2" low at 300, about 3.5" at 350, and still in the torso at 400. From a semi that is pretty decent performance.
