Judge: West Virginia Lawsuit to Ban Guns from Parking Lots May Proceed

Recommended Posts

Unless it is federal, state or local law without a state preemption law in place, a posted sign has no legal enforceability.  At the most they may ask you to leave the premises if they know you are armed, then if you don't leave upon request it is trespass.  Best thing to do is not let them know you are armed unless you feel your life depends on it in which case it really is a moot point by then.  I ignore all no firearms signs unless it is one enforceable by law and in such case if I felt a possible threat in the area I'd ignore that as well.  My bank has a sign on the door that states "no firearms on the premises".  I always shake my head and wonder why they want to advertise to potential armed robbers that they don't have any firearms inside while I walk in with my concealed carry and conduct my business.  Good thing I don't have to rely on them for my personal protection.  :D

Think about this: An organization that represents domestic violence victims doesn't want domestic violence victims to be able to defend themselves. The sense that makes screams that this HAS to have Bloomberg mixed in there somewhere.
