  • Welcome to My Militia!

As a citizen of the United States, you are a member of the Constitutionally guaranteed unorganized militia.

Everything you have heard about militias from the media is likely wrong. Main stream news has primarily reported on the negative stereotypes and criminal activity of groups that have nothing to do with militia. The true militia has exactly the opposite purpose; to uphold the law and the Constitution.

We are a growing community of Americans that believe that the supreme laws of our Constitution must be diligently protected and upheld. Fostering the lawful rebirth of State militia is a crucial step in preserving the Republic.

About This Militia

We are a group of patriots from the Houston area that believe in personal responsibility. We train once a month typically in small unit tactics, basic medical, and other critical skills. Our team is diverse and does not have any requirements or cost to attend, other than your range fee. If you'd like, bring lunch money and join us for the post training lunch. We have no unified "command" structure. Our purpose is to train people in skills that will aid you in times of emergency or in some cases competitions. Our group has no requirements on gear or weapon platform. Use what you have. Come learn and share the knowledge with others. We prefer you use a rifle that accepts standard 223/556 AR magazines to aid in team drills. Bring your own gear and train in it. See what works and what doesn't. Or you could try out other peoples gear until you find something you like. We all share, but if you want to shoot more than a couple rounds, bring your own ammo. Please message me for more info.

Loyalty Oath - By joining our unit you hereby confirm you will abide to and be bound by the following oath...

Don't be an asshole.
Don't be a felon.
Come with an open mind.
Above all, be safe and have fun.
  1. What's new in this militia
  2. Here's a shot from the April class. We had camera problems and don't have much footage from this one.
  3. Who's ready for Sunday's pistol class? I know I am.
  4. It's been long enough now. Time to train!! After closing of everything we had to postpone the training for March to April. Last weekend the range was closed due to heavy rains. This weekend we are going to get it done though. Post training report will be shared. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
  5. Hey everyone. I apologize for any inconvenience it might cause for you. But this weekend's training (3/29/2020) has been postponed until next month. With multiple counties all issuing stay home orders, I don't want to risk anyone getting sick or getting fined for trying to attend. I look forward to seeing you all next month. Till then, stay safe.

This is the rescheduled event from 4/19/2020. We will be practicing with our POA/POI offset while shooting at CQB distances. Handguns are optional but not required. Please bring a magazine fed rifle and at least 2 magazines. If you need a rifle, one can be provided. But you will be required to bring or buy your own ammo. If you choose to, you can wear your full kit, or street clothes. Range fee is $30 and can be prepaid, or paid on site. If you pay on site it is cash only. The round count and course of fire will be announced later. More info will be posted prior to the event. Check back for updates. Thanks.
  7. Don't miss out people! We will not be canceling our range days. Unless there are road blocks to stop us, we will continue to gather and practice our skills and tactics. In times like these, there is little that could be called more important. Stay safe. Stay ready. See yall on the range.

*** Update *** This event has been postponed until April 29, 2020 due to the COVID-19 and stay home orders announced by the county the range is in and all the surrounding ones as well. I apologize for the inconvenience. Be safe out there everyone. This rifle class is open attendance, but does require a prior head count. If you'd like to attend, please contact me here, on Facebook or Instagram @opforoutfitters, or by email at [email protected] We will be practicing with our POA/POI offset while shooting at CQB distances. 9. We had a good training day on 2/16. The adjustable gas block that I was trying out was an utter failure. My rifle couldn't fire a 5 round string without jamming. So I spent the day getting lots of Tap, Rack, Bang practice in. Other than that, everything ran smoothly. Everyone preformed well and was safe. I have already removed the gas block and rebuilt the rifle with reliable parts, now it just needs to be sighted in. Follow for more updates, or to see the video of the full drill. Find us on Instagram @opforoutfitters or the website www.opforoutfitters.com
  10. We will be doing rifle drills on Sunday 2/16/2020. $25 Range fee, min of 80 rounds for rifle, pistol is optional. This is not a basic intro class, you will be expected to know how to use your weapon and follow instructions. You can drill in full kit, or street clothes, your call. Loaner rifle/gear available, but bring or buy your own ammo (5.56 and 9mm). If requested, I can also provide a 7.62 AK for training, but again, ammo is on you. For more info or details, message me. Thanks.
  11. Training this weekend (2/16) in Fulshear, just west of Houston. Message me for details!
  12. Let's hear what everyone wants to train on. I'll see what we can and can't do based on the facilities available.
  13. I just posted a pic of the range setup we put together for some CQB and barrier drills. This was in December 2019. The January 2020 trip was just a mud-fest.
