You can moderate the channel that is open for discussion - that is the hardest part, because no one person can be on 24/7. Trolls will find you and post terrible stuff or links to malware. You can also invite people into a private channel - but that requires a different privacy setting.

So, start with a channel where you just post updates and information.

I think that is a good idea. Telegram is not based in the US and distributes your messages around differenct countries for your privacy. You will see a lot of other people from different countries post (like Tommy Robinson channel). If you do want to use Telegram, and you want to be sure you are as private as possible - be sure to use a VPN and then in the setting of Telegram adjust to most private settings. Be sure to create an anonymous handle. In my opinion, There appears to be a lot of 'scrubbing' since Trump's announcement about ANTIFA being a terror group. But, there are many bots and leftists. Telegram is one of a few platforms where you can follow Trump, Dan Bongino, Candace Owens, Prager University, Trump Jr, QAnon Meta (and listen to the X22 report), Dan Crenshaw, Steven Crowder, Infowars.com, and the like - and other who may have faced discrimination in the US big tech platforms. Search and follow whatever topic they have available. Some channels are for our reading only and some allow for comment.
