  1. I’m not trying to step on anyone’s toes but there isn’t any activity here. Has a meet & greet been discussed or possibly meeting at a range to participate in a group shoot? Independence Day is fast approaching and that would be a good day for a meet & greet with a pot-luck meal. There seems to be interest and though I know times are hard, they’re not impossible to those that have a desire to participate. Group leader, please hit me up and maybe we can get things going.
  2. Are there any plans to do a meet & greet or get any training going on?

  3. I keep my longarms slung after the fashion of the LRRPs in Vietnam and the current Israeli way. They’re always at the ready, depending on the angle of the barrel but even when lowered, can easily be raised without much effort. I don’t do much firing from the hip but having a sling over my shoulder with raised rifle is an advantage to me. I can ‘drop’ my rifle without losing it and retrieve my sidearm. That and it helps disperse weight when using the 75 round drum in the AK.
  4. Just stopping by to welcome you to the forum and say hello.

  6. Personally, I think that the reason people aren’t standing against it en masse is because everyone’s bellies are still full. Food, for the most part, is still readily accessible, albeit more expensive. When the food supply breaks down people are willing to take more risks and more often. Venezuela is a modern example of that. When you’re hungry or your babies are crying because they’re hungry and you can’t feed them, all bets are off. That being said, addressing your mention of fear. I’ve always tried to live by a personal code of ‘Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain’.
  7. I got news for that ‘Deviant Art’ guy. People have been preparing for that scenario for a long time before even Barry Soetoro came on the scene. This was in ‘95. I remember when this was going down and this is what piqued my interest in the Constitutional Militia. I was 25 and ready to learn as much as I could. Seeing stuff like the link you posted and that map, I am often reminded of a response I heard several years ago: “Don’t those people know that we’ve been training for years on how to kill them and they make threats like that?!” (Obviously the response was in referenc
  8. MeWe is a good social media that has several private gun sales groups. Might be a better alternative to Armslist.
  9. I have a Baofeng UV5R+ and I’m still learning it. My dad has always been the HAM guy in our family but he lacks teaching skills. There’s a lot I don’t know or understand but I’m getting there slowly but surely. Thank God for YouTube.
  10. Yessir. Nothing screams “HERE I AM!” like black in a natural setting.
  11. If they take out cell and internet but the phone lines are still active, you can communicate PC to PC with an old school modem.
  12. I have a frankenrifle with an actual M4 upper. That being said, it’s got the heavy chrome lined barrel (16” RRA) with mid length hand guard and a DelTon lower receiver. I’ve had it for around 15 years and other than a broken bolt a few years ago, I’ve had zero issues with it.
  13. A spare bolt or two for your AR isn’t a bad idea, either. Had one break on me a couple years ago on New Years and it took that rifle out of action. What’s $90 or so when times are good vs the sh*t is hitting the actual fan and you get stuck with a club?
  14. That would be a good idea if I had any guns that didn’t serve a purpose. Everything I have, I have for a reason.
  15. I’ve been watching this guy’s channel for a number of months and he’s got some good stuff that could be adapted for your use. This one series is especially good because the dude lives in East Texas and he uses several different patterns that are widely available and even some that aren’t so available but are common to the re-enactor. I hope y’all enjoy the series and while you’re watching, try to exercise your mind to try to see where he’s hiding in the scrub.
  16. If anyone in my AO would be interested in having a meet & greet and/or going to the range sometime, hit me up. I’m down for whatever. I’m partial to B-Tactical, in Caddo Mills because they’ll let you shoot anything but tracer or incendiary.

  17. I feel ya there. Hard to trust anything these days, especially since a lot of former conspiracy theories have been proven to be fact. I’m not a tinfoil hatter but...
  18. MeWe is a decent social media site. Free speech is allowed there

  20. There’s been some good talk about him in the FB group ‘Texas Constitutional Enforcement’.
