  1. You say your are in the 205 but you have never contacted me to talk about what you expect and what you bring to the table. This is not a join and then quit unit. If you are serious the contact me at [email protected] and then we will set up a communications site. If you are not serious please remove your name from the unit.

  2. The raw power of normalcy bias never really struck me until the beginning of this year, when news of SARS-CoV-2 (then called "Wuhan novel coronavirus") first began making distinct ripples through the Internet. Thank God it didn't turn out to be nearly as bad as I thought it would. Anybody even stocking up on some extra food and sanitation supplies in case of supply shortages was laughed at. Like life-changing pandemics are impossible because we've never lived through any, even though humanity has seen many before. If my worst fears had been met, our country would have fallen apart. Many would have died because they waited for the bell to ring before taking any action.
  3. To do your best in a just but difficult endeavor when few—or none—will stand alongside you is an incredibly noble thing. Please, persevere! I would gladly join you if I weren't too far away (central AL), though I don't have many relevant skills to offer. If you could use my support in any way, let me know.
  4. Glad to be here! Thanks for the warm welcome. My conditions will definitely be better controlled in the near future; plenty of progress has been made already. I'll have to go see what I can do!
  5. Yup! I've been fit in the past and I know how to get there; it's just a matter of climbing back up that mountain. Nice to meet you, Saiga!
  6. That's very admirable! I don't like lifting much but I hope to become strong and able through activities such as hiking with weights, swimming, and gardening (I've been hand tilling heavy clay over a foot down to amend large beds of soil in the back yard; gardening often can be exhausting and fulfilling hard work), and to be doing them well into my golden years—like you have!
  7. By not being "in a reliably healthy place yet," I mean that I have a couple of chronic conditions which need to be more well-controlled. This requires consistent exercise and a good diet, admittedly—and I already have both! It just needs time and persistence.
  8. Hello! I am a 23 year old woman living in central Alabama. Though I have next to no experience in handling firearms and have often been very unwell these past few years, I would like to join a militia soon—I'm not quite in a reliably healthy place yet—to assist my fellow countrymen in whatever ways I'm able. To give back to the community that raised me and, if my efforts are blessed, to make it stronger, more informed and cooperative, than before. I decided today that I'd go ahead and take the step of registering a mymilitia.com account. Whoever is reading this now, I hope you're having a lovely day! Happy early 4th!
