Georgia - Official Roll Call & Lounge
Recon Prepper replied to SPECTRE 6's topic in Georgia Militias
We are a multistate Militia that is a big family. In Georgia we have quite a few spread around the state with small bunches in several areas. Facebook has some info on us. Constitutional Republic Defense Force. CRDF. Also have videos on YouTube about the constitution. We do rallies as well as field training exercises. States do a monthly ftx, and national has an ftx twice a year. No drugs, no felons, as if I should have to say it but its sad we do. We have families that are members husband and wife teams, etc. Come have fun and learn with us. We love sharing knowledge and learning as well. -
Agreed and if I drop and break a 25 dollar radio I wont cry. If I drop and break my 500 dollar icom I will be very sad. Are baofengs the best radio??? NO but for 25 dollars they are not bad and they allow alot of people who may not have the funds to get into radio on the cheap while they learn and see what they really want later in possibly a more expensive format.

as for disabilities there are many positions a person with disabilities can have in a militia. If you have military experience, medical background, bush crafting experience, etc you could teach your skills to others. Maybe you can cook and make meals for others while they do the stuff you cant????? Lots of uses for someone who has disabilities. Not everyone is 18 and in good shape and able to kick down doors. As for the prison stuff thats a sad reality of today. Militias already get a bad wrap when you say the word militia. Many of the militias are trying to distance themselves from ba

which militia? there are a bunch here. -
there is a good nationwide group of hams that are patriots. Alot of them are ex military but its not required. AmRRON The American Radio Relay Operators Network. They have the free version and a 40 dollar a year version. The 40 dollar a year version gives you more info and is for the more active hams who are willing to transmit info and pass traffic. Its a really good group of patriots. Im sure some are probably in militias like myself.

Ive scanned over the radios instruction manual and its not very good but its Chinese. That said I couldn't find where it list the types of encryption it has????? If it has AES256 I would be shocked. That is usually an add on to most radio systems and its expensive. Motorola is crazy just to add aes256 to their radios. Can you or anyone else show me where it says what the types of encryption it has available???? Other various Chinese dm radios Ive seen are 32 bit at best. And its not Aes. They really wont say what type it is other than 32 bit. Most radios if they have a known encryption like

gotcha mbr yeah I agree dont want to use my name on an open channel for antifa to find out where I live. And yeah I knew ciphers or encryption or anything that hides the meaning of a conversation was a no go for hams and ham frequencies. I guess I was thinking of a business as commercial traffic and thinking militias aren't a business per say.

Do you think every small group had the resources to have a supper complex coms plan?? if you do then your living in candy land. who said it had to be super complex???? MBR surely didnt. He knows that like the cops they dont need to know how it works just that when they push the button on channel 12 he reaches his dispatcher. Militia would be the same way. We (meaning comms guys) need to make it idiot proof so the lowest common denominator can use the radio easily in an emergency.

Keep in mind using Amateur Radio to coordinate Militia activities is considered commercial use and a violation of FCC rules which could result in your license getting revoked and a fine issued. And if everyone in the Militia is not licensed it for all intents and purposes precludes the use of handhelds for man to man communications. Are you sure? im asking because I dont see it as such. The militia is not a business. Its a group of people working together like a club or organization. Unless they have a business license or llc or 501c3 how is it commercial? If husband a

On the topic of training.......Im a member of several groups and we have had training at a local park, it had bathrooms, as well as a sheltered pavilion. We grilled out hotdogs and hamburgers for the family members who weren't as tactically inclined and had a nice time of it. Some of our members also have land and have allowed us to do certain things at their properties. Shooting, tactics, how t start a fire, land navigation, etc. as others have mentioned there is a wide range of knowledge among our groups. We have a nurse who teaches first aid, a comms guy who teaches communications, milit
