  1. Sir,

I was just wondering which units you serve with in the military.  I saw your comment on 'cesspool' and never experienced this in the 82nd Airborne Division.  Our West Pointers were good but our OCS and ROTC Officers were better.

Yep,  Fort Hood, been there but never served there.  I live in Texas.  I flew the last Huey helicopter on the last lift the day the Army retired that helicopter.  I did, however, know LTG Cone and CSM Arthur Coleman-Army 3 Corps.

Every Army Post I have gone to over the years and speaking to every 82d Paratrooper, knowing by their Combat Patch, is dying to get back to Fort Bragg  All I can say is that you better be able to Soldier in the 82nd or you are gone to a non-Airborne Unit.  The same thing happened in Vietnam within the 82d if an officer or platoon sergeant could not cut it, they were gone within a week or less.

      Thanks for responding!

      Airborne!

I would like to contact you.  I served in the 82nd Airborne's 3rd Brigade-Vietnam 1968-69 as an Infantry Radio Operator for the Company Commander.

We have a small unit and I would like to be at anything you will let me attend.  I am in Victoria, Texas, a hog night hunter with thermal vision and would like coms with your unit to support your efforts.
