New to this forum. Out of greenwood run a little group known as the praetorian guard minutemen. Most of us served together rin active military (army). We are a very active group that cross trains with other groups as well as affiliated with a couple larger national groups. Can be located on fb or our website. Always looking to recruit. We are different from typical groups as well.
Hey Crusader, I'm Redleg. 15 year active duty Army vet. Artillery if you couldn't tell haha. Interested in joining up with you guys.

What's going on Hoosiers?
Just checking in from Greenwood. Seeing who all is looking for a group to join, or any suggestions.
Looking for SHTF preppers, to meet, join with in training and serve with to protect ourselves, and loved ones.

On a slightly different note, but not totally unrelated, the US soldier is probably the most loaded down fighter in the world. As Militia, I think we need to re-evaluate how we approach combat. Look at the Viet Cong, or today's Taliban fighters. Your mission will dictate what you need, but that's exactly where we need to take a fresh look at things. I've long advocated for a set of tactics that favor a "shoot and scoot/hit and run" approach rather than US Army style moves. I also think we should be familiar with the US tactics, if we would need to work with them, but it's doubtful we would ever be used as first line assault troops by the Army. They rely on fire/air support, for example, which we probably won't have: our whole doctrine needs to be looked at, I think personally.
Could not agree with you more. I have been advocating for the hit and run methods for awhile, but groups I have talked with are more interested in looking cool over being effective and efficient.

That is exactly the type of group I'm looking to start up. A group that will secure members and family members for the long haul. (Food, Water, medical, security, communications, extraction of family members if needed.)
I'm in Greenwood, maybe we can meet up and talk?

SHTF Survivalist Radio Frequency List
in Communications - Equipment, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures

Been thinking about this. Maybe atleast unit Commanders or their designees could have a spreadsheet of radio freq's and call signs for emergency purposes. I know this could be used as a communication security issue, but if only units could communicate with each other, even if they do not belong to the same Militia group. coordinate together.
Cell phone use would obviously be useless. short wave radios are fine in tactical unit's but to coordinate comms across the state and maybe further?
