First, I don't call it a "civil war"; the Left wants a Revolution. They aren't interested in separating from the United States, or making changes to make it better; they're interested in destroying and rebuilding it from scratch. Then there's the military question, a wildcard if ever I've seen one. From a pure doctrine point of view, there is no "loyal" to the President if he's not President any longer; the loyalty would pass to the newly elected guy. But from actual loyalty? Sorry--it just isn't there. Eisenhower was right, and remains right; it's a military-industrial complex, and the military is going to be loyal to the industry. For better or worse, much of the major industry is aligned against Trump. There's also the matter of "deep state", which I very much believe exists. The Deep State is Trump's arch enemy, and they control much of the military as well. We see it in the upper ranks all the time (less so in the enlisted, but those are just country boys like you and me).

 

The military is in the middle right now, in almost every way. Even if they were fully at the disposal of the President, there's going to be fierce resistance firing full-scale on Americans. That is as it should be. But that leaves little in the way of option, besides just "sitting this one out". I don't know how they can do that, either, so they're the wildcard in the mix.

 

That's why we have to be ready. If the true military is unwilling, unable, or in any way abdicates their position--we're up. And we'll be up against an enemy that is better organized, better financed, and (like it or not) better trained in modern warfare than we are.

 

Chew on that for awhile.
