Demonstrations/celebrations have broken out across the city of Chicago after the major media outlets projected Joe Biden had defeated President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.

There is a demonstration near Trump tower. I've not seen anything immediately near my area which was affected in past looting. Hoping things remain peaceful. The Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications announced that North Halsted is closed between Roscoe and Cornelia. Chicago police have blocked off a portion of Wacker Drive at Michigan Avenue as crowds congregate. CTA busses have been rerouted. Brown and Red Line trains are running, but not stopping at Belmont at the request of public safety officials.
