  1. My account was debited 7/21/20. To date no camo cloak and they refuse to supply me with a tracking number. Today I filled out a fraud form and sent it back to my bank. I asked them to debit the Old Grouch Supply bank account and through my bank return my money. Let's review: Debited my account 7/21/20 Received an email confirmation of my order 7/22/20 sent USPO Priority Mail. I emailed them for the tracking number, no response I called them for the tracking number and was told "our computer is down --we will call you back". Next day, no call back. I called again and got a recording. I called again and got a recording. I called again and got a recording. I called and left a message asking them to state in their recording exactly when they would answer their telephone. I called again and they had blocked my telephone number. I called my bank and explained the situation, they mailed me a fraud claim form. Today I sent the form to the bank.
  2. As I said, I ordered one of these magical cloaks from Old Grouch Surplus. That was 7/21/20. They said it mailed 7/22/20 by USPO Priority Mail but gave me no tracking number. To date, no delivery. Yesterday I called them and they answered the telephone. Then they said their computer was down and they would call me back with the tracking number. Guess what????? No call back, no tracking number, no delivery.
  3. I'm over it. I got a 200mW green laser. Wow! At night it is like a freeway leading back to me. Now I have an IR laser, we will see how it works when I get the NV gear.
  4. I did run into this "long distance" IR illuminator, a 940nm unit and the price is certainly right. It features a concave lens which I am guessing is the secret sauce. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Long-Range-Infrared-Flashlight-IR-940nm-C8-2-LED-Hunting-Night-Vision-Torch-ZOOM/333655761934?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D227673%26meid%3Dbaf2bde3652d4a3fad8c0d9f5426582a%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D202718942321%26itm%3D333655761934%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithBBEV2bDemotion&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
  5. I swear, this is the only forum where any sort of budget NV discussion is even tolerated. Everywhere else, all discussions of NV equipment first require a paper bag and a revolver because it is first necessary for you to rob a bank. So I am finalizing my budget NV equipment picks. A separate IR illuminator is going to be necessary unless I want to wear two headlights on my head with the goggles. I don't. So then you notice there are two kinds. There is the more common 850nm IR and the 940nm IR. Of course, it is never as simple as one is just totally, absolutely superior to the other, there are trade offs. It seems the 850nm is clearer and penetrates the night better but is more visible to the naked eye. So if you want stealth, at least visible stealth, you are also looking at the 940nm which is much harder to see. As usual, I don't know shit from shineola so what do you guys with some knowledge and experience think?
  6. Skillet, so you are saying this will work against both thermal and NV as in PVS 14?? I just wanna hear you say it again.
  7. I just ran into some information that M76 smoke grenades will block IR light and are used by the military for that purpose. They will not block thermal scopes but only IR, maybe the IR amplifying light. Does anyone know if these are available to civilians and where? They would be a nice addition if that were possible.
  8. OK Skillet, I did more research. Is this what you are talking about? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000849085058.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.9f19389fYZKvvH&algo_pvid=ab7446cb-1a92-477b-bd7b-9fa9fafe3ee0&algo_expid=ab7446cb-1a92-477b-bd7b-9fa9fafe3ee0-4&btsid=0ab6d70515937473920617596e0bdb&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_ This is cheap. But I would have to buy a helmet and it is 2x. I was hoping for 1x so I don't trip in the brush. Also, with the Digital NV in the visor form, could I just install a patch over my right eye and use my left (weak side eye)?? Just aiming a laser, right?
  9. New Nightfox set up https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088ZQ6B64/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=704tactical-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B088ZQ6B64&linkId=b5d0da1c60b42a3af59e59f3e2000c30 This is $184.00, comes with headgear, supposedly good for 75 yards. It might not be your choice for assaulting Osama bin Laden's compound but it should work guarding a fixed position at night. The price is certainly right. Here is a video on it Here is a $46.00 Infrared laser from China to go with this. I have a Chinese green laser and they work just fine. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33040681550.html So what do you think about this setup? The only thing I would add is a second or hand held IR illuminator so you don't have to use those on the headset.
  10. Fly over with a helicopter and loudspeaker giving "all those that do not support Antifa" 8 hours to leave the area. Then you know for sure. But, if reports are correct, the Hell's Angels and Mongols are going to take care of them for us.
  11. Napalm? At least cut off the water, cut off the electricity, jam electronic communications, and pick them off with snipers like the left did at Ruby Ridge. Or, allow the Hell's Angels to storm them and pay per scalp.
  12. For some reason I never considered laser sights, especially for low light shooting. Then, somehow, I got wind of them. The green laser sights reach out to 100 yards in the daytime!! People say you can shoot on the move with them and they are especially good for moving targets. They go out to 200 yards at night. The little pointer-type sights are small and light. What am I missing here? I ordered a $17.00 laser just for experimentation. School me on visible lasers.
  13. Iron oxide is rust. Old bridges submerged seasonally are a great source of iron oxide. It appears on this type of iron as deep scales which can be easily broken off in dry weather, ground up by hand and stored. Fine Aluminium powder can be obtained at a machine shop. It is waste for them. You may have to mix/grid them vigorously in something suitable. You may have to add water as you are grinding them together. Then let dry. As the videos show, it does not take much to disable large machinery.
  14. A reusable hand grenade sounds like a bad joke you tell someone you don't like.
