I love exploring the World and interesting local cultures trying to take great images of the wonderful and thought-provoking things around us,. Always striving to capture the colors, shapes, light, and shadows for everyone to enjoy or think about. My favorite photographers are Ansel Adams for landscape art and Henri Cartier-Bresson for brilliant street photography. I think good photos should tell a story and I want to learn how to produce great photography essays like W. Eugene Smith.
Being a long-term open source software supporter and Linux user, I use darktable for photography image editing running Ubuntu running Linux with Digikam and GIMP.
I go back to the early eighties with Olympus and Nikon 35mm film cameras. Due to the wonders of modern technology I now use micro four thirds digital cameras these. My cameras include the Olympus E-M1 Mark II Black, the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II Black, the Olympus PEN-F Black, and the Olympus Tough TG-5 Black. I also have a good collection of great Olympus lenses. My dream camera is a Leica SL with a 15mm Voigtlander Super Wide Heliar III lens. I have a feeling many great images of the future will be taken with Rugged Digital Cameras or Quadcopter imaging systems and I want to explore these new technologies.
