  1. Hey BigWes, Check out Texas State militia Houston Unit. Www.tsmhouston.org We train every other weekend, have around 80 members, and accept members from ages 18 and up. We don't discriminate. We don't accept member requests through mymilitia.com, as all of our applications must be filled out starting with our website and must be background checked and approved by command.
  2. Texas State Militia has an El Paso unit that was just formed. 10 members I believe. Their website is still under construction but you can reach the unit's FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/TSMgreywolves/
  3. Let me know in pm what you guys are doing. We are looking for ways to increase traffic as well. Currently tsmhouston.org is around 800 page views per month.
  4. Amazing short post by one of our corporals. So well written and gaining huge traction on social media and our website. Spread the word if you can! We are getting responses from other states and will be referring them here. You don't need help, they do. https://tsmhouston.org/you-dont-need-help-they-do/

  6. Texas State Militia: Houston Unit here! We train often and consistent. Great Brotherhood, no drama. PM for details.
  7. until
TSM Houston will be working with Habitat for Humanity to construct homes for those in and around Houston who have suffered hardships or disaster.
  8. On the mobile site it does not. I get the map and a list of militias. I have to scroll through the pages to find my unit or do a search. On the desktop site I do have a side bar with my unit listed very conveniently.
  9. It would be great to have a quick link at the top of the mobile page (and the desktop?) that is a one click to a list of the militias groups we are in. Right now as far as I can tell, I have to tap the menu, units, and then search for a specific unit that I am in. Unless I am missing something?
  10. Texas State Militia: All Texas regions. Active, recruiting.
  11. A great unit. Reb is an awesome CO. Got to train with him and a few dozen of their members. Very squared away. Great representation of Texas State Militia SOP and Charter.
  12. Steve, Texas State Militia : Houston Unit. Www.tsmhouston.org. We are always active, 80 members, fireteam on your side of town.
  13. To all visiting: This is not, nor has it ever been a sanctioned unit of the Texas State Militia. There is no Pheonix unit. There is no unit operating under this name. The page is being kept up by a former member who was ousted for not complying with our bylaws. He will not take it down or hand over the domain out of spite. There are around 14 units of the Texas State Militia happily complying with our bylaws. You can visit www.txstatemilitia.com, or www.tsmhouston.org. Going to either one of those places, you will be routed to the correct unit automatically upon applying. Thank you. Sgt. Adair PAO Houston Unit Texas State Militia
  14. Yes, literally the only known instance of drama in TSM!

  17. The fact of the matter is that government hackers can get any information they want from any website that they want. We're not going to be able to prevent our unit data from being monitored. However I would still like to move all of our operations to my militia for the sole fact that Facebook is not very friendly 2 constitutionalists or libertarian and conservative users. If we can get all of our operations on a channel that's dedicated for the sole purpose of organization and announcements, at least we can avoid the biases of companies and not be beholden to them. One of the things that we do when talkin to new members is we will have electronic communications with them prior to a face-to-face meeting. They are not invited to any official unit functions until they go through a background check and are interviewed by command and a police officer. It may be a cumbersome step and turn people away, but the types of people that are turned away from that are exactly who we don't want in the unit anyway. This has worked wonders in keeping the crazies out. Obviously we don't want any feds spying on us in our unit, but in reality we have nothing to hide, we're doing everything 100% legally. We don't allow extremists, extremist point of view, illegal weapons, drugs, explosives, or anything of the like. So if a Fed wanted to infiltrate our unit they would have nothing to find.
  18. Yes but how do I get our entire militia to convert? I have put many posts up on our unit FB page, and could only get around 10%. I am trying because I totally agree. As my units PAO, I have spearheaded the attempt to make the conversion. Suggestion: IF MM had an app that could send notifications, people would be notified of activity in their militia on MM. Right now, they basically have to check their email to see updates, or have proactively come to MM to see notifications. It could start as a simple secure messaging app alternative to FB for militias and grow from there into a full featured app.
  19. We were approached by someone about attending an anti-sharia law rally in Houston, near the San Jacinto Monument. This person told us that violent Islamists were likely to be there and we should go show our support for the US Constitution which is directly contradictory to the Koran and Sharia Law. Our militia did not officially attend, however a few of our members decided to attend on their own accord. They showed in street clothes, offered water, aid to both sides of the argument, while remaining in contact with the unit should shit pop off. Nothing came of it... until... We found out a couple of days ago, that the person who was trying to whip us up to go fight Muslims was associated with the FBI. This is one of the reasons why we particularly don't attend protests, rallies or much else in unit form. SHAME on the FBI for trying to start conflict. Funneling opposing groups together to instigate violence. People get hurt and you are behind it in many cases. YOU know who you are. How can you live with yourself?
  20. Alright I spoke with my lawyer (sorry for the delay). In addition to the obvious 2nd amendment, Federal Law regarding militias: 10 U.S. Code § 246 - Militia: composition and classes: The militia is everyone between the ages of 18 - 45 (with some exceptions to gender, citizenship status and such) There are some references to some statute of federal law that claim that militia training is illegal if it is known that the training will be used to cause civil unrest. However, neither I nor my lawyer could find this. Regardless, this only restricts training that is intended to do harm to society. Texas Laws Regarding Militias https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/Docs/GV/htm/GV.431.htm Texas Government Code 4 C Ch.431 The militia is everyone liable to serve, or serving in the state military forces. Title 4 - 431.010 - is no longer in the Texas Government Code Militias are not illegal. Things militias may do, or individuals in militias may do could be illegal. But the formation, training as a military company (even in public) is not prohibited.
  21. 431.001. Definitions (1) "Reserve militia" means the persons liable to serve, but not serving, in the state military forces. But for the above, I agree. I have called my lawyer and am waiting for a response. Will let you know what they say about Texas Militias. Thanks for the conversation.
  22. People talk about military style training all the time on this site. Am I wrong? Just because you have a technicality that absolves you of culpability in your mind does not mean that you did not go to a website called mymilitia.com and converse with people who are actually organizing themselves as criminal organizations. (If what you posit is true). Reasonable doubt. Also, there's no ill intent here man. Just having a conversation. Things get lost in the type, but its all civil discourse. Either way I think we're probably talking about the same thing but mincing words. Regarding your citing the 431.010.a subsection: When we train we don't train on public land. Your quote regarding the Federal Law, seems to restrict the paramilitary training of groups that intend to cause civil disturbance. Honestly, I'm not sure of your intent in what you've been saying. Was it to say that because militias are illegal, they hide themselves?

Who we are

We are a community of concerned patriots who are not overly confident in the current direction of our society, from the wild political climate to what can be summed up as a lack of morals or a complete void of integrity and pretty much a blatant disregard of respect..... Respect for our past, respect for our future and respect for each other. In order to protect our constitution and life as we know it, we decided to not be the silent majority anymore and pull our selves up by the bootstraps and make the world a better place. This website is to unite people like us, people who want to make a difference ... and do it the right way, Little did we know that in doing so we would create the number one militia community online. Here we are. Enjoy.
