  1. The most valuable thing I learned in our militia group was this: I learned who I could trust. That's more important than anything else.
  2. I started one in December of 2002. We had a good run (seven years). http://champaigncounty.tripod.com/ Advice for starting a group? Keep egos to a minimum. (Including your ego.) Focus on learning and honing skills, not politics. Think of it more as an educational initiative, and not as "Let's form a commando group!" Emphasize communication and movement over guns/shooting. Recognize bad apples and purge them from your group.
  3. I'm up here in Champaign County, just a stone's throw away from you. I'm in Clark County all the time. I ran a group from 2003 through 2009. We had members from Champaign, Miami, Clark, Greene, and Montgomery counties. I think three were from Clark. Our webpage is still up. Click on Training Sessions: http://champaigncounty.tripod.com/ Lately I've had a renewed interest in the militia. So today I am going to a Meet & Greet for Region 5 of the Ohio Militia. Here is their FB page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/646687752585488/ I'm mainly going out of curiosity. Not sure if I will end up joining. I'm not much of a fan of large, top-down organizations; I prefer smaller, independent groups. I'll let you know how it goes.

  5. MCP34, I am in Champaign County. There's a small group of us like-mind patriots in this area. Feel free to email me at [email protected] Michael
  6. Back in 2003 I started a militia group in Champaign County, Ohio. Though it was fairly successful, I ended up disbanding the group in 2009. The web page is still up: http://champaigncounty.tripod.com/ I'm thinking about getting back into it. For starters I would simply like to join a group that is already active. And then I'll think about forming my own group again. Michael
  7. I am the "Michael Craft" in the article you pasted. It was published in the Dayton Daily News in 2010.
