So ... suppose you are completely innocent and have been SWATted.  Just surrender,  go down to the jail, try to talk to any sympathetic lawman about the situation -- this is called 'undermining the enemy' and it's always a feature of this sort of conflict -- get bailed, prove your innocence, and then, with the help of thousands of us, make a huge stink to get the SWATter, unless he was anonymous, punished.  At a minimum, make a huge stink.

 

But suppose you ARE guilty of some technical infraction: you owned a magazine which could hold twenty rounds instead of ten, say.  Surrender peacefully, get charged, get released, make a huge stink, go to trial and .....

 

... remember that American juries -- ordinary people like you and me -- generally take a dim view of police/government over-reach.  I don't have time here to list all the cases -- including Ruby Ridge and Waco -- where in the aftermath of the slaughter, juries were VERY SYMPATHETIC to the surviving victims.  And this has been the case over and over, going back to, say Angela Davis  (who was probably guilty as hell) and the Panthers, who took advantage of a huge publicity campaign.

 

And this is the right way to fight, so long as we are a democratic Republic, however flawed:  you fight them on the political arena, via elections, via court battles, via publicity. 

 

The (lack of ) response to the Duncan Lemp atrocity showed the real weakness of the militia movement.  Plenty of hot-air merchants bragging about how they were going to "arrest the governor" and similar total b.s.  But when it came time to react to the murder of a brother ... whoa, "Turn  on another channel Milly, I think they're running Band of Brothers again."

 

That has to change, and the people who read these discussions have to part of making it change.  The Left are brilliant at propaganda -- they made the convenience-store robber and would-be cop-killer Michael Brown look like an innocent teenager with this hands up pleading for his life!  A Hitler-style Big Lie if there ever was one!

As I Stated, entry of my Home for whatever reason.. maybe neighbor complained I had a Black full auto rifle.. who knows. They Enter, With NO announcement, no Credentials, maybe 4am, no knocking just bust in to my Home, I would Rain Hell on my invaders. (NUFF SAID) then if I live, I'd look at what came in to threaten me and Mine. 

Otherwise, they better Knock 1st, announce they are Police, and we will Have a civil discussion.

I know a Few Cops. Country Boy types, I'd trust. I've came across a few not so good. One was mad I was a Veteran, said some things, gave me a Ticket for 7 over. 

 If you are in a Group just see what works, how people fit. If there not right for the band let em go. Cop, a Rabi, a military veteran,  Construction worker, contractor can all work together and perform well, just like a Band. Know your lead singer, your guitarist, Drummer, bass, maybe keyboard, Harmonica. Someone comes along and dont fit, they dont fit. Vote not to accept them in see what others think too.

If it is the case that we will never beat this via a vaccine... our only hope is that it goes quietly into the night like MERS and SARS or we develop therapies to help patients suffering from the Coronavirus to increase the survival rate.  

 

With that in mind... how long do you suggest we wait before reopening the economy and pulling our backsides out of a total economic collapse?

As my opinion, as I shared, I believe it should be left to medical Professionals.

But! To better clarify, the Governor of the State should be working closer with an Advisory panel, likely by phone statewide to understand the hotspots (larger infected city's) and make judgements. In my Opinion only, the Government should be working towards policies while we are in "Lockdown" with health inspectors and medical opinion to stem complacency, and Better protect the Citizens, and Slowly, open select business with Hygiene plans implemented to "Test the Waters" sorta speak. Wearing face masks, having Hand Sanitizer available, require possibly less tables in restaurants. In some Asian area I seen they were Requiring Plexiglass dividers on tables, maybe that's an option. But Yes, instead of Protesting in Person I'd like to see people Flood the Government with Emails and Calls. Our Officials should already be moving towards implementing a Plan of Action to reopen the states with Caution. 

Lots can be Done electronically or by phone. And every politician has an Email account, and Petitions can be made and sent in.

We are still in the early phase of understanding Covid19. A vaccine may not be made, but progress to handle it can be.
