Hey man. Would you mind peeking at my How to Fight series? You've been posting a lot and I'd like your opinion.

You seem like a smart guy even if we disagree. Mind taking a peek at my other How to Fight pieces? There's five so far and I'll be writing a sixth tonight most likely. I can get you the links if you'd like.

Hey Doug I've been watching your posts for a while and you seem like a smart dude. Mind taking a peek at my How to Fight series and sharing your input? I think militia groups around the nation could stand to teach one another something.

I've just finished re-reading Number I and was going to search for the rest ... the links would be received with gratitude.
I've argued here for some time that we should aim to produce something like "The Militia Papers" -- a set of well-researched and documented, well-thought-out, PDF documents that could be posted 'permanently' (until second editions), and created by consulting with all the sensible militia groups we can find. They could be individually authored, or anonymous collective efforts. But good, solid, thoughtful writing -- that has had the benefit of a dozen or more critical eyes offering suggestions for improvement -- ought not to exist just as ephemeral posts which are hard to find and get buried under more fleeting stuff. They're not something that could just be turned out in a few days. They ought to circulate as widely as possible around the whole militia movement, and in certain other circles, for comments and suggestions. Someone -- you? -- has to be overall editor, and there ought to be something like at least an informal editorial board to discuss each one.
They ought to be good quality PDF documents, which can incorporate good graphics, with a repeated, recognizable distinctive symbol on the cover of each one [not the scary skull death's head Waffen-SS symbol which some people are fond of, but an American Minuteman, or something traditionally American] , and which could then propagate out to the movement. They should be part of a series -- the Militia Papers --- with the snappy cover backgrounds making them instantly recognizable. They should have a uniform style with respect to sub-heads and paragraphing and references -- the should be professional, in other words. (And,it goes without saying, no spelling errors or grammatical mistakes.)
This is not a reading generation, so they should incorporate a lot of graphics inside -- photos, tables, graphs -- and short paragraphs. They should be journalistic in style, not academic. (So the text should be run through one of the several available level-of-difficulty analyzers, like this one: http://www.roadtogrammar.com/textanalysis/.)
On the other hand, there are ways to intimidate lefty snob reviewers, of which there are sure to some for a project like this, without repelling the people we want to be our readers: so put in some pull-boxes with appropriate quotes from Heraclitus, Machiavelli, Hobbes, Burke, Von Clausewitz, Suvorov, Madison, Mill, Bismarck, and others, plus a list of a few dozen relevant references to books and articles with a bearing on the subject of each Paper. This would also serve as a painless way to increase the 'depth' of the movement.
I'll bet it would make a large impact, and not just on the militia movement. (I think one of our main strategic goals for the coming period is to move more into the conservative mainstream ... I'd like to see pro-militia articles in journals like National Review and American Conservative, as well as on some of the major conservative online news bulletin sites. And I'd like to produce something that could catch the attention of some conservative academics, and pundits. Right now, I think most of these people are a bit dubious of the militia movement. They're not sure if it's part of the 'Far Right', or just some crazy people, or what.)
Nor do they all have to be of the same opinion. In fact, some informed debate, dissent, discussion in some volumes would make them more interesting and more helpful. One of the best things I've seen recently is John Marks' video remarks on Civil War 2, with a rebuttal in print by Forward Observer.
Anyway, give me those links to How to Fight, II onward and I'll read them today.

Hey Megatron you mind taking a peek at my other How to Fight posts? There's five parts. You've seen the fifth. I'd like to know what you think of the other parts.

We need to UNITE
I am not talking about militia groups becoming a single group. We need to unite under a common cause rather than bickering amongst ourselves and making ourselves out to be lunatics. More militias stray away from science and the knowledge it's providing rather than learning more. Many militia seem to be concerned with fear mongering and spreading misinformation instead of doing their best to educate the public.
This is NOT helping our cause when you scream and yell at people. "But people don't want to be educated". This is flat out; bullshit. I have seen how many groups of militia "educate" people. Mostly it's by shunning them and hanging around them no longer. Some even scream and yell at uneducated people and even some still to this day would rather bicker and argue rather the presenting facts and complete evidence.
I will say this now and I am not joking; I do NOT want to even be associated with a group like that. We are MEN not little children bickering and arguing and shunning one another because we don't like their opinions. If we do that we're no better than the damned ignorant people so many militia claim to fight against.
Left and right side of politics don't matter one bit. The US is a two party system because many of us are perpetuating it. The government is not inherently evil simply because it's a government. PEOPLE are evil. A government is a tool, not a monster. Straying away from government is not helping our public image.
And that is EXACTLY what matters right now; public image.
I am NOT telling you to kiss the ass of everyone and everything you come across. I am NOT telling you to stray from your beliefs. I am NOT telling you to back down.
But you need to learn some tact and how to discuss topics logically and amicably or else more and more people will stray from our side to the others. You'll catch more flies with honey than you will with piss. Quit being sarcastic when people ask questions. Quit scoffing and laughing when someone doesn't know who their local governor is. Quit banding together only to raise a little hell with your buddies because a law is being passed in another state that barely concerns your own livelihood.
What we SHOULD be doing is EDUCATING people. We should be explaining WHY these laws matter; calmly and rationally. So what if your neighbor doesn't share your beliefs. Your neighbor isn't going to change his views because you bitch and moan and hide yourself in isolation away from the rest of the world. You know who hides from society? Terrorists and lunatics.
Rant's over. But I'm still serious. I will leave this community if this is how things will continue and frankly I'll probably work against you lot because you are harming MY mission; to get our rights back to the people. We must stand united or our mission, my mission, WILL fail.

Good evening. I am trying to find a militia to join and communicate with. Can you help point me in the right direction?
I'm in South Carolina but MyMilitia doesn't actually have my area code. Mine is 803 rather than 843.
