I was thinking a minute ago... and a lot of our history is being destroyed or changed as we, the society, progress forward in time. I have, in my lifetime alone, seen the banning of the book Of Mice and Men from high schools, Lord of the Flies and other classic texts. But what happens when that isn't enough for our adversaries? What happens when they have taken, inch by inch, until the only thing left is to burn all remaining copies? Farenheit 151 was an amazing book and frankly I draw similarities between it and the now. It has also been banned from high s

Ordinis Libertatis is recruiting. We are in the 803 area code and plan to expand if possible. We plan to train often and have high standards for anyone that wants to fight. Our requirements will be posted elsewhere. We will train you to be first aid certified, CPR certified and we will train you to shoot. Additional training may be possible. We also do food drives to reach out to our communities in order to spread our name. We are new... but motivated. Please send me a message or quote this message if you want details or wish to join. -

Granted. But it doesn't render the drone a moot point. A gun can jam if someone puts mud in the barrel, doesn't maintain it or just bad luck. The barrel could explode in your face and maim or even kill you when you fire it and the ammunition can misfire. The chance of failure should not automatically mean we don't use a piece of equipment. -

Good to hear. Militias everywhere need to stop living in the dark ages and start modernizing. -

My point is mostly directed at the naysayers. There will alwayd be SOMETHING that defeats something. The point of ANY equipment is not to make that equipment invulnerable and make it your trump card but instead to make it reliable enough that it can do a job. -

Undoubtedly. There's also armor that can stop a .50 caliber bullet which can be worn by infantry. Should we stop using bullets? -

They will lose. Hell, I called the CHAZ/CHOP/Failure and told them if they come to my state they will not leave it in the same condition as when they arrived. -
I'm not from Georgia but this NEEDS to happen. Unity is our only hope. This guy has the vote of a guy in SC that leads a militia; however much that counts for. Go lead the team.

Round up.

Think of it like this; the majority of a population in any conflict are neutral. They don't care, they just want to survive the conflict. We'll assign them a 60% value. Then there are those that support one side or the other but only through their voices: about 15% on either side. The remaining percentage are active combatants which is approximately 10% of the population which is split between both sides. If you want to tip the balance, convince people you're on the right side and make your numbers bigger. -

I don't fly drones. I live off of $8,000 a year; well below the poverty line for the United States in every state. I'd fly them if I could but I don't have the money. Still, it's not too hard to imagine how they can be used. I'd wager a good drone in Seattle could probably poke a hole in the CHAZ and let officers in to swiftly and decisively deal with that. -

Yes, I'm familiar with drones used for EOD. -

This was found with a 10 second google search. And a drone is not always airborne. Anything remote controlled could be easily considered a drone. If the police mounted a handgun onto a small RC car the militia around the US would be screeching about drones. -

As I mentioned in my edit, there are still land based drones that move on treads or wheels. You can build your drone with a GPS and I'm sure it works well but assuming it is the only way for a drone to operate safely is like assuming guns are only safe at the gun range. Meanwhile, I'll be thinking outside of the box of norms and looking for ways to innovate. -

There are still dozens of other ways to achieve stable flight without a GPS. Edit: Also this entire argument is moot if you use a drone that doesn't fly. They exist. -
CANINES FOR SECURITY
Rascaldees replied to Todd A. Slee's topic in Tactical - Operations, Methods & Maneuvers
Dogs are useful as force projection and presence measures of security. They are also useful in detection of hidden items. They are NOT useful in attack roles or even defense roles when you encounter anything more serious than a crackhead home invasion. -

I'm pretty sure drones use GPS for navigation rather than flight stabilization. Otherwise the UH-1 Iroquois would have had the problem you're mentioning of drifting all over the place since GPS wasn't available when it was created. Even then you can remove the GPS and replace it with some gyroscopes to stabilize the flight as many flying contraptions have done in the past. Regardless, the point is that drones are useful to militia. In the case of riots, assuming your government is still with you, you can use a drone to survey the riots and contact law enforcement to let them know -
