  1. i surprisingly have not even had a single person question me about it. I am certainly glad you left friend. wait... i am not all that far from orange park. hmm, wouldnt it be funny to bump into you. If you ever see a guy in flannel shirts, cowboy boots, and a bayonet on their right hip, shout out, its probably me! XD
  2. I have an m7 bayonet, and i open carry it whenever i leave the house. Surprisingly it is legal to open carry knives in Florida.
  3. a good read, you have great writing skills. I hope to read more of your work in the future.
  4. Here is a list of my current chapter drafts. As a note, some of these are more done than others, so expect for me to edit them periodically. 5. Yes, i am aware. And yes, i know i am (for the moment) doing the cop-out. I do fully intend to physically be a part of the movement in the future, but as i just turned 18 (and am planning to move to another state for personal reasons) i would like to get settled somewhere before tying myself to a group. My hope was to one day form my own group, but we will just have to see how that goes. In the meantime, i felt a book like this is probably more help to the movement than much else i have to offer at the moment. Though i will say this. IF, and i mean "IF" i actually complete and manage to publis
  6. Oh i do. I am in several militia groups on MEWE and have some friends their. I am just posting here as well to broaden the audience who sees my work. As i said, i have several chapter drafts i can post here if you would be interested in seeing what i have thus far.
  7. honestly, i am just writing about stuff i picked up. I learned about the militias existence in the 8th grade. I have just graduated high school this year. So i have been reading and watching content related to the militia for all the years in between. I even state in the introduction that i probably wont have as many citations as i probably should, and a lot of what i write is just about my overall knowledge of the movement. That is why i am posting my drafts here and another place as well. Just so i can have other people in the movement (i am actually not in a militia myself at the moment) re
  8. thank you for the feedback. If you couldn't tell, this is meant to be a book about the militia. Mainly it is for people who don't know much or anything about the movement.
  9. Here is a draft of the third chapter of my book. It is only halfway done, but it is a decent amount so i feel alright going ahead and sharing. I prefer constructive criticism over an "attaboy" but those are nice too. https://docs.google.com/document/d/13bI6_vwXEuVcosrMZLmSomfTmFpno_WsEOtDKoPpccE/edit
  10. So, i have found in my limited time here that a lot of people know very little practical knowledge about the militia. Even people who support them, sometimes know little. They dont know about when we formed, or the little things that make the movement what it is. I am hoping (if i ever finish it) that this book may help spread information not found elsewhere in a single package. I currently am in the rough draft stage. If you would like me to share what i have written, or inquire about anything else, feel free to post here. I can post links to my chapter drafts for you guys to read and give me
  11. i would at least have a small pistol, even if it is just a little 38 special. My reason for this is because if you get separated from your unit, and your rifle malfunctions, having even a little 5 shot revolver would be priceless. Even if you just have it in a basic storage compartment and not a holster, like in a backpack. You never know. I can understand not wanting to carry a duty pistol with extra mags, but a little revolver in a backpack wouldn't add a lot of extra weight, but it does add alot more options to you in a jam. Hell, if a buddy's gun malfunctions, you could lend it to him in a
  12. wow... that is extremely disappointing... oh well, it is to be expected. I always try to talk about the militia when at pro-gun places so i guess we will just have to hope we get more support in the long run.
  13. I am not a member of a militia currently (just turned 18, i need to get settled first) but i have always thought that a good way to recruit is simply to put yourselves out there. I have recommended an idea i had on the topic (never tried personally). I suggest that you send representatives from your unit to gun stores and other militia friendly places. Set up a booth outside or inside, and have one of your 3 man teams on a circle roster do it every weekend. Go to a few different stores, stay for an hour a piece. Something like that. I have also thought that militias teaching firearm safety cou
