  1. I would agree.  I am so busy, by the time I check email... a week has gone by.  I have been training hard for an extreme event, 48 mi. in 24hrs non stop(Kettle Crest Trail #13)so time just slips by. We started at 11pm at night, all that could go wrong, did, our "guide" got misplaced, GPS failed, nobody knew where we were, went off trail and we had to doubled back, and start over, FUBAR right from the start,  lost time and ground, hence, being prepared is everything.  As a rule I never go into the (bush or city) without my Glock 17 and a few clips, ever. This time... no weapons at all other than my Leatherman tool. I made this as difficult as I could for my self, mind body and soul. A lot of bear and Mt. Lions here... but it's the "humans" in remote areas I am concerned with, not the animals... cause I am one of the animal's. ;) My head lamp failed in the first hour, I hiked on goat trails in high elevation, treacherous trails for 8 hrs. by moonlight 'till sun cam up. Made for an interesting hike lol, brutal on the senses, major head game. Took my eye off trail for a sec and nearly ate granite. I'm light on my feat and agile or I would of been drinking my blood and eating my teeth.  11hrs into he death-march (3.5-4.0 mph) steep grades,  I was blowing chunks. Heat exhaustion set in 20 mi. 6'k in elevation, and I still had 11 mi. to go, to get off the facking MT. By the time I got to Midnight Pass I was gassed, thought I was gonna die. Puking and shit'n... trying to recover, hydrate and keep food in me. Thought I was gonna die coming off Copper Bute as well lmao... the most brutal part of course. 31 miles in 14 hrs. I got my ass whopped.

Peak elevation 7k, about 450-500 flights I climbed. GPS failed so no way of really knowing. Since I started training two months ago I've logged 110 mi. well over 300,000 steps 12k flights of stairs.  I've decided to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, from Mexico to Canada, (Triple Crown) granddaddy of all hikes. Training began two months ago lol. I will train for a solid year, boots on the ground.  I honestly can not say how much help I can be here, but I do want to be of service to yens all, ya got my number if you need me, I will give all that I can, I'm not an organizer... I'm not into the politics, I'm a hands on, nut and bolts kinda guy. People call me when they need things done. ;)

  2. Have we figured out a meet-up place and time yet?
  3. My son and I did a 28 mi hike yesterday in about 9hrs. in 88 degree weather. Training for the 48mi hike 24hrs. Last four miles all up steep grade, brutal. Feat always take the beating. To think; three-years ago I nearly died twice(chronic pancreatitis) a few NDE' I just will never be able to articulate. Those past few years blurry at best, I was so sick. My weight was 210lbs. and I dropped to 130lbs. on a feeding tube in the hospital for 8 days. I was on a lot of medication... that was killing me, and I chose to kick it cold turkey AMA... on the heals of nearly dying, that was brutal. I ne
  4. I think that is a great idea Marcus. If we are serious about being of max benefit to our countrymen, our country, we have to be organized and committed, make a stand, stand tall. As far as PR it would be nice to remove the stigma of "Militia." I get the highbrow in certain company lol. How do we change that image? lol. Even if there is only a handful of us here at the time, what is our role, how should we fulfill it? Rank-order? Personally, I started training five months ago. Just did another 16 mi. hike yesterday. I'm in a position in my life now(semi-retired)the best health since I was
  5. I concur, we need to be ready to hold our own, I'm talking defense as well. Not into politics, do not support any kind of hostility toward our government... they got enough to worry about right now, they need our help, not our handicaps. I want to be able to help when the time comes bottom line. So many have not prepared, elderly are vulnerable, we need to be able to protect them too. Holding our own helps free up resources in other areas. I'm a survivalist, planning is key to survival. We have no idea what we are really up against at this point, so we need to be fit on all levels. Understan
  6. Right on... I'm home most the time, semi-retired gearhead, my wife and I are self employed and work from home(graphic designers-artist). We have a strong community here. It has been on my mind much lately about my role in my community, "when the shit hit's the fan, are we organized well enough to hold our own, connected, networked with each other personally? What is our role here other than, here is my number, call me when the shit hits the fan!" The bad guy's are organized... highly intelligent, motivated and committed. It will be a painful, timely, unrelenting endeavor before
  7. I have been training for extreme sports(hiking-running) most the summer, get'n into shape is pretty big deal to me, cause I know what is coming. Considering building a "ninja course" to train on, my land is perfect for this set up. I'd like to set a up a tactical shooting course as well, sure could use some help on ideas with that. My son's said... they would help, but, you know the drill, their young and chasing their dreams as well as women. Their ambition is a wee bit different! lol Anyway, we need to organize and start getting to know each other better. Marcus wants a get together, and I
  8. I live in Deer Park down by Horseshoe lk. I have property overlooking the mountains, we shoot and train here. I hike the gulch as well. I hunt/fish these lands. I would love to have a get together around a fire, have some food, beverage... talk about what is happening, plan accordingly. My boys and I want to build like a ninja course to train on in our woods... (extreme sports). I’m training for an extreme 50 mi. hike in Kellog , we have 24hrs to finish course. Very demanding. Did 16 mi. up White Mountain last Sunday, felt pretty good, lungs need more conditioning, not much recovery time fo

  10. Feeling the winds of change... love making a stand, and making it known. I love my country, our culture, my roots go deep into the south. My bloodline is built for this shit... most my family is ex-military, serving or first responders. DNA lol.  My wife and I are both artists, self employed, work at home, plugged into our community, I see the local folks growing gardens, get'n things ship-shape. I'm grateful to be plugged in with you all, already taken some flack, wheat and the chaff is being separated, even within family. Solid as rock here! ;)

  11. New here... get'n plugged in. Live in the Deer Park, WA. area Hope to meet up with some of you soon!
  12. Good morning... I am interested in get'n plugged in, to make a stand. I am a libertarian, voted since 18, come from military background(my roots go back to Civil War) my father's fathers fathers have all fought for this country. I signed up for Marines at 17, but was to rowdy for them at the time. I am a 54 year old family man, Christian, college educated, 89% Irish with strong ties to my roots... highly skilled with an IQ that sits in 1% bracket of the world, truly. I feel a call and conviction to protect our Constitution my family... Bill of Rights, which is under full assault. I would li
