The danger of a biased media

Recommended Posts

In an “unbiased” media, why is it permissible to report allegations of improper behavior against one candidate but not another? Why can information on one be dredged up from the past, but not the other? We’re all hearing an endless diatribe about Trump’s sexual escapades, but what are we hearing about Hillary Clinton?

For example, according to the Washington Post’s investigative reporter, Ronald Kessler, this is how Hillary Clinton treats the Secret Service:

Good morning, ma’am,” a member of the uniformed Secret Service once greeted Hillary Clinton. “F— off,” she replied.

That exchange is one among many that active and retired Secret Service agents shared with Ronald Kessler, author of “The First Family Detail,” a compelling look at the intrepid personnel who shield America’s presidents and their families – and at those whom they guard. Kessler writes flatteringly and critically about people in both parties, but – Kessler exposes Hillary as an epically abusive Arctic monster.

“When in public, Hillary smiles and acts graciously,” Kessler explains. “As soon as the cameras are gone, her angry personality, nastiness, and imperiousness become evident.” He adds: “Hillary Clinton can make Richard Nixon look like Mahatma Gandhi.”

Per the New York Post, Secret Service “agents consider being assigned to her detail a form of punishment,” Kessler concludes. “In fact, agents say being on Hillary Clinton’s detail is the worst duty assignment in the Secret Service.” After studying the Secret Service and its relationships with dozens of presidents, vice presidents and their families, Ronald Kessler’s astonishment at Hillary Clinton’s inhumanity should reverberate in every American’s head. As he told me: “No one would hire such a person to work at a McDonald’s, and yet she is being considered for president of the United States.”

If you think most of what you see on TV, read in the print media or hear on radio is there without conscious design, then the free press – our “unbiased media” – have been extraordinarily successful in fooling a lot of people.

Unfortunately, today the original intent of the Founding Fathers has been subverted by the doctrine of “political correctness,” and “freedom of the press” has regrettably become a means of propagating the viewpoint that only those tenets held dear by certain segments of our society should be reported as news. Contrary viewpoints must be labeled and reported not as news, but as the opinions of “fringe groups,” “right wingers” or “conservatives.”

Foremost among these “fringe groups” are any Bible believers – Jew or Christian. Moral absolutes are not acceptable, and only the rights of those people who are liberated from those antiquated thought patterns are protected by the First Amendment.

To the media, “conservatives” – those dangerous fanatics who want to keep prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance in our schools – are always labeled “right wingers” and are likened to terrorists who blow up buildings, dispatch suicide bombers and otherwise abrogate, or infringe upon, the rights of the enlightened.

Conservatives who question today’s enlightened thought concepts are invariably dismissed as “racist,” “narrow-minded,” “inflexible” or “just plain dumb.” Some will protest, “You are overstating the case. The media do not have that kind of influence.” And, of course, the media elites will insist (publicly), “We are innocent of the charge.” Really?

If that is the case, then why are we not informed that Russia is sending signals to the U.S. of serious concern, if not downright fear: “Hillary Clinton could spark World War Three,” said the Russian who received a top state award from Putin.

And then there’s the threat we seem to insist on dumping on Israel’s doorstep as we continue to abandon our only real ally in the Middle East: “With its eyes on the potential launch of an Israeli-Palestinian peace initiative after next month’s presidential election, the Obama administration is “manufacturing a crisis” over settlement construction, to exert diplomatic pressure on the Jewish state.”

News blackouts that fit the agenda of the leftist mainstream press, particularly in this presidential campaign, are seriously deceitful and must be overcome by a public that researches the truth and votes as an informed citizenry.

Keep in mind: What we see, hear and read in the media can have a dramatic impact on our future, as we will, in 23 days, choose our next commander in chief.

The most dangerous citizen is not armed, but uninformed.
